Praise Jesus!

Glory to our Father, Lolita has an appointment on December 15th for her "swearing in" ceremony as a U.S. citizen . She will immediately be applying for her US Passport and Lord willing, will be here with me in the Philippines by the first of the year. Thank You Jesus!

We Praise Jesus and thank our Father for all of you who have been praying for this great event in Lolita's live. We also Praise Jesus and thank Our Father for congressman Cliff Stearns and his staff, who our Father touched to assist in getting an appointment as quickly as possible.

I thank each and everyone of you for praying. It is your prayers that brought this about!!! As for me, I arrived in Manila November 11th and am now in Palawan.

Our Lord blessed us so greatly spending time with you in the states these past few months. This newsletter will not provide space to express all :: Eyeglasses so I can see better, much needed truck repair for our state side truck, provisions for truck repair here in the Philippians, school supplies and Christmas gifts for the children, sound equipment for our school ministry, a few computers for our schools. Also some Microscopes!

But the greatest blessing of all was each of you opening your hearts and homes to us providing a meal, praying and encouraging us.

All the Pastors we met this year who gave godly council, advise, wisdom and encouragement: Just meeting and talking with you, hearing and seeing your Love of Jesus.

Lolita's and my heart have been overwhelmed with gratitude and thanksgiving so many times this year, tears of pure joy and Thanks to Jesus filled our eyes to overflowing as we experienced the Love of Jesus flowing through you.

I can not thank our Father and Praise Jesus enough for you; but continue trying from the inner-depth of Lolita and myself and from the beautiful children here in Palawan.

We humbly thank you and cry God Bless You!

Feeding Program

Praise Jesus our original feeding programs at two elementary schools are up and running. On the third day following my return to Palawan, Mark and I went to one of the elementary schools.

As we approached Tamgumpay Elementary the children flooded out of the rooms to meet us shouting Hallelujah. Later, talking with the head teacher, she said she was in the middle of lecture when without warning they jumped up shouting tito (uncle) Harrell and started running out of class. She said she has never seen them so excited.

I tell you, it was very hard telling who was more excited; me or the kids as many hugs were exchanged with lots of "Praise Jesus".

Because of the Lord's Blessing this year and the love and compassion of Jesus in you we will be expanding our School Feeding Program into new schools and areas.

I desire everyone to please understand when you designate"feeding children" on your gift 100% goes to buying food for these school feeding programs and other feeding outreaches. All expenses such as travel, gas, workers, cooking pots, etc are expensed to our general ministry.

As we expand this year we will be adding new members to our ministry team. We are already petitioning our Lord for the right team members.

As you know, with our feeding ministry, we teach the spiritual before feeding the natural and will be needing two motorcycles to get our team members to all the schools. Praise Jesus for enlarging our border. The motorcycles will be $1,600 each and request your prayers that our Lord will provide.

Christmas Gifts

Some of the gifts shipped by cargo boxes while in the U.S. have arrived and pray the remaining shipments arrive before Dec. 25th.

During our meeting with the schools and PTA, we discussed the possibility of some boxes not arriving in time. The general feeling was a preference to give all the gifts to the children at one time rather than some just before Christmas break and other after Christmas break.

So depending on the arrival of boxes, we will either give the gifts on Dec 17th or the 1st of Jan., when classes resume.
It is to late to send boxes for this year, but you can still make a love gift for us to buy toys here. Again designate Christmas Gifts with 100% used to purchase gifts for the kids.

We are in the process of visiting the retail stores getting shoe boxes for wrapping presents and it is such a Blessing as we are able to witness the Love of Jesus to the many store owners and employees we visit.

School Supplies

We will be distributing School Supplies in June following summer break. So there is time if you wish to ship a cargo box of school supplies. Just e-mail me h_bornagain@yahoo.com and I will provide you shipping instructions. Again, you may designate a love gift for school supplies and we will purchase them here for distribution.

Many of these children we minister to would not be able to attend school without you and the love of Jesus in you providing the needed school supplies.

Refuge House

Our truck is in the shop for an engine rebuild and after that we will be ready to resume construction. We will send videos updates as we start building again. Our hope and prayer is to finish the main building this coming 2011 and start the boys and girls dormitories.

Proclaimers

"Faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the word of God"
We have many of these wonderful talking Bibles in the native language to give out this year. These are great tools in areas of the mountains where no electricity is available. They are solar powered and also have a hand crank battery charger . We are expecting great testimony from the use of the Proclaimers this next year.

Prayer Request

Provisions for ministry expansion needs
Laborers in the harvest
Our Ministry Team and its future members
Lolita's quick return to Palawan
People of Palawan to be saved

Lolita will be giving testimony in Jacksonville, Fl sometime this month to a women's group, so please pray for her. Those of you who have heard her testimony know how powerful it is. If you would like call her at 229-516-0977 and see if she has available time to share it with your church or group.

Again I and Lolita, with much Praise and Thanks to God our Father and His Son Jesus, lift you in our prayers.

Please remember the reason for the Christmas season. God's promise to mankind was to send a Savior, a Redeemer to take away our sins.

It is for this time of the year we celebrate the love of our Father to all of us: He fulfilled the promise by sending Jesus Christ His Son. To take the punishment for our sins. That through His shed blood we are reconciled back to the Father.

Have a blessed Jesus Birthday and a prosperous New Year we love you!
God Bless You!

November 2010

Praise Jesus!

Hallelujah! Lolita passed her citizenship interview and test: perfect 100%.
Please be praying that she will be sworn in as soon as possible.

Speaking of praying, I would like to ask all of you to please pray for Lolita, myself, our team members, and I Am Born Again Ministries on a daily basis. We desire your prayers!

We know many of you are real prayer warriors and we need your constant intercessory prayers. You Pray Warriors are a vital part of this ministry and vital part of the Body of Christ.

As we (we is all of us) continue going forward in Jesus name, I humbly ask and Pray our Father will put a desire in your heart to commit to pray for this ministry and everyone in it on a daily basis as the Holy Spirit prompts you.

Remember it is more difficult to go forward without all the parts of the body working correctly and intercessory prayer warriors are a vital part!

Please let me know if the Lord chooses you to be a Intercessory Prayer Warrior for our ministry.

Praise Jesus, the Lord is faithful! He provided places us to speak and minister in October. We were blessed to be able to minister to the ladies at one of the Florida prisons for women last month. What a powerful time in the Lord, we starting with Lolita's testimony and there was not a dry eye in the place. Then we showed a video of our work in the Philippines and more tears. I shared my testimony and shared how the Lord had freed me from different things in my life. Last we shared the word and how it apply to them. The Lord gave many of them ears to hear and they were so thankful!

Christmas Gifts

Praise Jesus most of the cargo boxes have been shipped and we pray they arrive by December 25th. In the event they are late we will distribute when they arrive. Praise Jesus, the Lord provided sponsors for all six boxes of stuffed animals. We Praise Jesus for his faithfulness and for all of you helping the beautiful children in Palawan this year. What a tremendous blessing you are! Thank you and we praise God for You!

Prayer Request

1) Intercessory prayer for us
2) Wisdom for us
3) For Lolita to quickly be sworn in and receive her U. S. passport

We pray you have a blessed Thanksgiving this month.

We Praise Jesus with thanksgiving to God for you; for the compassion and love of Jesus in you!

October 2010

Praise Jesus!

Proverbs 16:9 A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.

John 3:8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.

Surprise we are still in the U.S. Shortly after last months newsletter was mailed Lolita received notice of her appointment for her U.S. Citizenship interview and test scheduled for Oct.14, 2010. Praise Jesus, we received the letter just a few days before we were to fly back to the Philippines. We were so excited about getting back to the Philippines: packed and ready to catch our flight. Originally we were told it would probably be 6 months before the interview would be scheduled. After 2 days of activity canceling flights, rearranging our departure and notifying those in the Philippines of our change of plans, the reality of the Lord's Blessing hit me. We will not have to cut short our time in the Philippines upon returning and be able to stay longer than first expected. The Blessing is magnified because several groups are planning mission trips this year and we will be able to
schedule those visits without concern of conflicting with a return trip to the U.S. for Lolita's citizenship interview.

Our Lord is so Wonderful!! In the event our Lord is stirring you about a mission trip contact us and we will be pleased to pray with you about a trip. Then I realized we would not be leaving the U.S. for another month or two ( After Lolita gets her U.S. Citizenship she must apply for and receive a passport to be able to leave) I had not scheduled any speaking engagements for that added time.

But our Precious Lord is faithful and has opened a few doors where people will have the opportunity to be partakers, with us, for the harvest of souls and to store great treasure in heaven; to build on the foundation of Jesus Christ with precious stones, not wood, hay and stubble. As I write this we have two Sundays in Oct. open and many days during the week. If you have a location for us to share the great work our Lord is doing in Palawan please give me a call 229-516-0977.

Children's Christmas Gifts

Shipping the cargo boxes with gifts for the beautiful children of Palawan should be done this month of October so they are sure to arrive before Christmas. If shipped in Nov. they may or may not arrive in time. Last year they did, Praise Jesus!!
Please remember when the gifts arrive in Palawan we will individually wrap the gifts for the children. Wrapping the individual gifts in shoe boxes to pack in the cargo box will take much needed room for shipping. If there are cards you would like on the individual gifts just place them in the cargo box and we will see they are on the gifts.

You may contact me at the above given phone number or by my e-mail for assistance. If in the Pelham, Ga. area contact Mike Martin @ 229- 403-6887: in Albany, Ga area Art Shoemaker @ 229-886-1506; the Jacksonville, Fl. area Bill Johnson @ 904-410-2730. Thank you and God Bless you for bringing some love and joy of Jesus to these wonderful children.

Board of Directors

Our dear Brother Ron Blanton has asked to be relieved of the responsibilities as Vice President of the ministry and is being replaced by Brother Ken Durden. Brother Ron has been Vice President since our Lord Jesus started this ministry. We praise the Lord for all Brother Ron has done for our Father's Kingdom, not only in this ministry but many others as well.

We are as well being blessed with two new members of our ministry board. Mike Martin from Pelham, GA, and Jon Divine of Jacksonville, FL. These two men love Jesus so much and we are blessed to have them and each of their unique talents working with us to continue to build our Father's Kingdom.

Prayer Request

Please pray that Lolita's interview and test will go smooth and we will return to the Philippines as soon as possible. As mentioned in last months letter we have three remaining boxes of stuffed animals to be shipped @ $80 per box. Pray that our Lord provide sponsors for these boxes.

Pray for the USA, Philippines and Israel as well as souls to be saved throughout the world.
We love you all.

BE BLESSED & HIGHLY FAVORED,
Harrell and Lolita

September 2010

Praise Jesus!

Once again a month filled with meeting so many precious brothers and sisters in our travels.

A most interesting encounter one evening in Valdosta, Georgia as we were sharing with a congregation. I was giving testimony about where I had been (Pre-Jesus), how Jesus had changed me and about how I was preaching in the streets of
Gainesville, Fl., going to the Navajo Nation of western United States, Costa Rica, Philippines, Mexico, Grenada and now back in the Philippines: sharing all the wonderful things our Lord Jesus had been doing.

Following the service, while standing in the back and thanking everyone for coming, there was a woman and her husband that came to me and said, “When we first arrived and you said hello and introduced yourself , I asked my husband where have we seen him before. I recognize his voice but can't place his face. Then later when you told about preaching at the traffic light
intersection in Gainesville we remembered we were stopped at that light one time and you were there. I was scared you were going to come to our car. I tried to act like I didn't see you but that didn't stop you”. You were skinnier and had more hair! I was just astounded that here I was some twelve years later in a city of another state and here were two people that saw me preaching on the streets in Gainesville. They waited till everyone was gone and we had a great time talking about our precious Jesus and what He had done with them and with us since that time. They decided that I was still crazy for Jesus and we decided that now they were as well!! What a great time we had talking with them !

Praise Jesus! There is a precious saint whom the Lord has touched to give us several boxes of stuffed animals to be distributed this coming Christmas to the beautiful sweet children in Palawan. We ask you all to pray that someone will sponsor the shipping of those boxes. The price to ship one box is $80.00 we estimate that she has six boxes of stuffed animals to send to the children. This is such a great blessing for the children. Please Help!! Thank You!!

We are leaving the middle of September for the Philippines. We want all of you to know what a great blessing you are to Lolita and myself, the precious children in Palawan and to the whole Body of Christ there in the Philippines. As we return to do our Fathers business we, praise our Father and thank our Lord Jesus and you for your prayers and support that allows us to continue being about His Work. Our hearts are full of joy as we know of the abundant Harvest, Fruit and Treasures being stored in heaven for you all! Lolita's and my heart are overflowing with love for you!

We Love You, God Bless You

August 2010

July 2010

Praise Jesus!

It's a blessing to be back in the U.S.A.! My cell phone # is (229) 516-0977. Please give me a call even if just to say hello! I finally have the voice mail set up and you can leave a message in case I am busy when you call.

This year while in the U.S. we will share the vision received almost 13 years ago from the Lord for the Refuge House. Please pray that our Father will Bless every one by opening their hearts and minds to the vision and to be partakers of the Harvest, Fruit and Treasures that are being given in the Philippines

Refuge House

On approximately ½ acre with frontage to the Sulu Sea the property is located close to a very poor farming and fishing village. Our ministry will begin as pioneering work for there is no church in this area.

The building program consist of a main two story building approximately 30 x 40 feet designed for easy expansion when needed. The first floor will have a large kitchen and used multi- functionally: A place of worship and praise, feeding children, men, women, youth groups, pastors seminars, youth camps, vacation bible school, as well as children's bible study. It will serve as a safe haven or refuge for kids until they can be reunited with family. A place of Love. A place of discipleship in the name of our precious loving savior Jesus!! A place of ministering to everyone of our Fathers Children from the oldest to the youngest.

The second floor will be used for living quarters. With the roof of the 2nd floor being flat we will call it The Upper Room, and will be used for communing with our Father, prayer groups and meditation.

With ½ of the main building completed our expenditures are approximately $26,000 including the property. We ask you to join us in prayer that our precious Lord will provide the $20,000 needed to finish the main building this year.

Once the main building is completed we will start full time ministry there bringing the message of Love and Hope of Jesus and ministering to all of our Father's children. Phase 2 of the building program consist of girls and boys dormitories. Both dormitories will be approximately 12 x 48 foot at an estimated cost of $10,000 each.

Feeding Programs

We are ministering both spiritually and physically to the beautiful , but malnourished children of Palawan. We have experienced great expansion this year but such great need is still before us: Spiritually by teaching, praise and worship songs, bible stories, devotions, and bringing the message of love and reconciliation to our Father by the shed blood of His Son Jesus. And at the same time ministering physically by giving nutritious meals to children who desperately need a nutritious meal.

We are blessed to be able to provide one meal to 150 children for $25. I hope and pray that the love and compassion of our Lord Jesus in you, will be stirred to give so you can be partakers with us on the bountiful treasure that will be rewarded. Remember Jesus said “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?” James 2: 14-16.

We praise Jesus and thank Him continually for his provisions, please remember $5.00 is not too little and $1 million is not too much.

School Supplies

Working hand in hand with the school feeding programs, once a year before school starts, we provide school supplies to poor children who would not be able to attend school, but instead would be expected to assist the family by gathering food from the forest, cutting wood to sell, working in the crops being grown, etc. With school supplies available, parents are thankful to send the child to school hoping that with education that child will grow up to have a better life.

Just before we left to come to U.S. we had our annual school supply distribution. Even though we are ministering in the area this was the first time we had a ministry outreach at the Refuge House. All the town officials, P.T.A. President and parents were on hand to witness the school supply distributed. We were able to share Gods Word, pray with the leaders of the community, children and parents: an emotional time for me and tears flowed freely several times as I saw part of the Vision Our Lord gave me 13 years ago come to pass.

The joy and love in my heart was overwhelming with praise to God and thankfulness for all of you who are partners with us in the Harvest Field of Palawan, Philippines. We are excited to finish the main building and begin to disciple and minister to all ages in the area, on a regular basis.

Christmas Gifts

Once a year at the time we celebrate the Birth of our Savior we give boys and girls a Christmas Gift and a stuff animal. The joy and radiant smiles and sounds of laughter coming from the children will cause even a hard heart to melt and tears to come to their eyes. Then when one of these beautiful children come to you with such gratitude and thankfulness you are over whelmed by the compassion of our Father. This is a great time as we share the real reason for the season with parents and children of Gods promise to man to send a savior, His Son Jesus!

Evangelistic Outreaches

It is our hearts' cry to preach the Gospel to everyone: we do Tribal outreaches, hut to hut evangelizing, High School and Elementary School outreaches, Street evangelizing, open air preaching. We go into the highways and byways knowing that no man comes unless the Father draws him, but also knowing our Father chose preaching that they may hear His word.

Prayer Request

We will have to purchase parts for rebuilding the engine of our mission truck in the Philippines(engine specifications for our truck are different than U.S. Toyoto trucks). Please join us in prayer that or Lord will provide the $1,200 for rebuilding the engine upon our return to Palawan.

We Love You,

Harrell and Lolita

June 2010

PRAISE JESUS !!

As I write this I am flying towards the U.S., so you will receive it after I have arrived. You will find this months letter to be more of a "Reflection" than a newsletter.

So many great things happened this year: people heard the salvation message, children were ministered to, a vision givin 13 years ago for a place of refuge has begun to materialize. Many trials were overcome and some are still being overcome.
But the one thing that stands out most to me is how we all need each other and no one is more important than you! As I age in Christ, I realize more and more what Jesus meant about the widows mite of Luke 21: 1-4. "She gave more than them all".
For so many years, I would hear people (myself included) say "wow", isn't he a great preacher; Do you watch so and so on TV, he is so annointed; Did you hear so and so at the revival, people were saved and healed; wow profit so and so said this, etc,etc...Please do not missunderstand me. I praise JESUS for all the men and women of God .

After this year of seeing poor malnourished children gain weight: seeing the dark beautiful eyes of children light up and huge smiles on their faces when, for the first time in their lives, they were given a stuffed animal or a little shoe box with some toys; children going to school with pencils and paper and a hot meal waiting for them, enhancing their learning experience, I am overwhelmed with gratitude to our heavenly Father.

Having mothers and fathers asking why we do this, opening a window to share JESUS, stirs emotion beyond words of explanation.

To be able to share the love of JESUS that has been made possible thru your gifts this year and has given me a much deeper understanding of JESUS' words when he said "...the widows mite was more than all".

I glorify our Father by praising JESUS for each and every one of YOU !!!
Maybe you have not pastored a 10,000 member church, or preached a revival where thousands were saved, been on a mission trip, but i do know this-- YOU TOUCHED THE HEART OF OUR FATHER THIS YEAR.

Your day to day living, ministering in differant ways to so many people; Your giving that started feeding programs; gave christmas gifts, school supplies and Gospel outreaches; Your prayers; Your encouragement; Your words of wisdom and advice; Your giving to start the building that will minister to all of Fathers children, on Palawan, from the oldest to the youngest. YOU, I repeat, YOU are the GREAT MEN and WOMEN OF GOD !

YOU are the ones BLESSED by our FATHER to HEAR HIS VOICE and OBEY, becoming PARTAKERS of HIS RICH HARVEST, FRUIT and TREASURES !!!!!!!!

Along with hundreds of children , our hearts are overflowing with GRATITUDE and THANKFULNESS as we PRAISE GOD for YOU !!!!

I reflect on Paul (who was Saul) blind in the city of Damascus. How our Father spoke to a certain disciple(Ananias) to go pray for him. Paul went on to do great things for God.

In my life I can remember so many of you, like ananias, heard and obeyed the voice of of our LORD, helping me grow in the faith of JESUS. So many of you our Father used to touch my life and thousands of people through out the world. Most of you, like my self, are not famous TV preachers or world renowed profits or evangelist, you are just disciples of Christ, day in and day out. Great and Mighty men and women of God! My Heart overflowes with love and praises for each and every one of you!

PRAISE JESUS ! The cell phone number we will be using here in the states is-- (229) 516-0977, Please call me !! I am missing many of your phone numbers and not sure how to contact you. We want to share the vision and ministry with as many as possible this year. We would love to meet your Pastors and Brothers and Sisters in JESUS to share what our Lord is doing in Palawan.

May 2010

Praise Jesus!

Wow, many great things the Lord did this past month: souls saved, people revived, progress on House of Refuge, and preparations for distribution of school supplies.

                               Bless His Holy Name!

We were blessed during the month to be able to reunite a Brother here in Palawan with a Brother in U.S who were together on a mission trip in southern Palawan over 35 years ago.

Our Brother Dr. Joe in Jacksonville Fla. had told me wonderful testimonies of what our Lord did in Southern Palawan when he was here on a mission into the Southern tip of Palawan. We were Blessed to meet Brother Edwen Roxas who at the time lived in Manila but had answered the call of service to the Lord through Brother Spotty Spotswood to join a team including Dr. Joe to minister in Palawan in the 1970’s.

Brother Edwen came to Puerto Princesa this past month and we were able to contact Dr. Joe by phone. As I sat and heard these two men talking, hearing the joy in their voices and the shear happiness on Bro. Ed’s face being able to again talk to a member of the mission team, and hearing them reminisce on the Great Things the Lord had done along with the trials they had to overcome brought tears to my eyes. I was Blessed to listen to 2 men of God sharing with each other!! Bro. Edwen never returned to Manila but has been in Palawan ever since that mission trip, in Service to the Lord!

Eph. 3:20 "now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us".

Praise Jesus, then we were Blessed again by a visit from Dr. Arnold Lastinger and his sweet beautiful wife, Joy: being sent to bring a powerful message and teaching to encouraging young Pastors here on Palawan. When I say sent, I mean sent by our Father who Art in Heaven! Wow!

The message he was given for Sunday Worship was just plain Powerful:

1) It was confirmation to me personally about the message the Lord has given me for delivery upon Lolita’s and my trip to U.S in June, July and Aug.

2) The Spirit of our Living Lord moved so powerfully there was no alter call given but people started coming to the front, some kneeling, some laying down. Then all of a sudden the whole church moved to the front and where ever they could find a place to kneel, they weep in Repentance. I was reminded of years ago in Pensacola, Fl when I heard that same sound of people wailing in Repentance. Also just a few years ago when Bro. Ken was sent to Mindanao along with Bro. Wayne, Bro. Henry and myself: the wailing of Repentance at the youth rallies.

I hope and continue to pray that this is the start of a Revival of God to sweep Palawan like it did in Mindanao. Still today that revival fire is burning in the mountains of Mindanao. I Praise Jesus for His messenger Dr. Arnold and ask that all of you pray, the Revival continues here in Palawan!!!

School Supplies

Praise Jesus!
I hope all of you received the e-mail video of Principal Amy. If you did you can hear her heart crying for the children of her school and the other children of Palawan. Please help. If sending a check please indicate on check that it is for school supplies. This must be done soon so we can purchase and distribute the supplies before we leave for U.S at end of May.

House of Refuge

We hope and Pray to be pouring concrete for the ground floor by or before May 10. Please Pray for provisions on this phase of the construction. Also, Lord willing, we finally start drilling the water well. Please Pray we get good fresh water Quickly! This is the last we will be able to do on the construction until our return to Palawan the end of August.

Feeding Programs

Our Feeding Program is on hold until June, when School will start again. We are now ready to expand the Feeding Program to more locations. Principal Amy will be teaching and training every new school how to keep records and how to feed the most children for each dollar spent. We are currently feeding 150 students one nutritious meal for $25.

We encourage each of you to be a part of the Feeding Programs and be partakers of the Harvest Fruit and Treasures being stored in Heaven.

Remembering what our Precious Jesus said " In so much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me". Please read Matthew 25:31-46 Brothers and Sister lets be sheep not goats!!!

Return to U.S.

Lolita and I will be in the US three months this year, June through August and we ask you to please help! I want to share the vision our Lord has given me and I want to share our heart with as many people as possible.

Please ask your Pastors for opportunities to share with them or have a group in your home one day or evening.

All of you have friends we have not met and given the opportunity to be Partakers of the tremendous Harvest Fruit and Treasures that are being stored in Heaven for us. Dear Brothers and Sisters there is no need for us to be greedy and keep the whole harvest for ourselves there’s plenty of treasures for everyone. Lets love our friends & neighbors enough to give them the opportunity to share in the harvest!

Email me at h_bornagain@yahoo.com with phone# to contact you about scheduling meetings. Lolita and I are excited to see as many of you as possible this year. Our Hearts, along with every child here in Palawan that you have shone such Love and Compassion to this year, are so full of Gratitude and Thanksgiving for all of you. We continually Praise God, thanking Him for you!

April 2010

Praise Jesus!

I am amazed over and over how our Father uses different events and happenings of everyday life to speak deep spiritual principles to us! Praise Jesus! The cement for the second floor of our House of Refuge was poured after more than 19 hours of continuous labor and what a reminding message our Lord delivered to me later about "Broken Vessels".

As I mentioned last month the cement mixer and vibrator we were using was taken back just before we were ready for this big pour. We went everywhere trying to borrow or rent replacements-- Dead end everywhere.

Three days before the big pour we talked to a man who said we could use his mixer but it was literally in pieces. My thinking, "to many broken parts. Even if we get it welded it will never work right". After another day of looking and asking for help, finally a man let us put a deposit down on a brand new mixer with agreement to pay balance in a short time. We loaded the mixer and got it to the job site the evening before the big job. And was I Relieved!!!

Early the next morning with over 30 workers (including cooks) on the job, they cranked the mixer and were getting ready to start when there was a strange noise coming from the new mixer. After inspection, the foreman informed me the mixer was out of alignment and if we used it the motor would be toast.

Brothers and Sisters I was CRUSHED!! After all the time and energy, frustration after frustration to get a mixer and it was defective. A whole crew ready to go to work and no mixer. I tell you the truth. I hung my head down, walked into our temporary bamboo house and felt like just crying! All I could say was, LORD JESUS! LORD JESUS!

About 5 or 10 minutes later the foreman comes to me and ask if I want to try the other mixer. I look up and said, "WHAT MIXER?" He told me the owner of the broken mixer we had looked at welded it up and just delivered it. We went and looked at it, and my thoughts had not changed. But with no other option, we quickly mounted the motor and Praise Jesus it Worked!! But will it work all day- "no way."

Well that old broken down, patched-up mixer ran 19 3/4 hours steady and we finished the job. Praise Jesus!!
I was absolutely amazed!!!

A week or so later I was having some quite time and as I laid there, still amazed with that broken down mixer, such a strong Presence of our Loving Lord came into the room. In my spirit I felt the Lord saying, " Harrell, why are you amazed about the broken down mixer working all day? Am I not still able to restore a Broken Vessel? Can I not make a broken vessel new? Consider yourself. Were you not like the mixer: broken, rejected, discarded, full of unforgiveness and pain, full of anger and hurt with no hope? Did I not pick you up, repair the broken parts, show you that you are loved, that you are excepted by me, and chosen? Did I not teach you to forgive? Did I not take away the anger, heal the hurt and pain with my love.! Did I not bring the true hope of eternity to you."

At that point I think I felt a little like Isaiah as he said, "then said I, woe is me! for I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Host ." And Paul’s words of Romans 7:24 came to mind, "What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?" As I lay there feeling the presence of His love, I was painfully aware of my short comings. My answer "Yes Lord you can Restore a Broken Vessel!." And Praise God HE IS STILL A GOD OF RESTORATION and RECONCILIATION! "Thanks be to GOD OUR FATHER !!!!

Acknowledging all of these things, Tears Streamed down my face from being in the Presence of a Loving Compassionate, Longsuffering, Full of Grace, and Mercy Heavenly Father. Dear Brothers and Sister if there is an area in your life needing to be restored, or healed just ask the only one who can Restore and Heal. JESUS !!!

Outreaches

John 6:44 "no man can come to me except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will Raise him up in the last days."

Praise Jesus doing outreaches is like eating cake and ice cream! Its great to see our Father draw people to Himself! Many received the Gospel Message as our Father opened their ears and hearts to hear and receive. From elderly to middle age, to youth, to kids! give the Lord Praise!!! Evangelistic outreaches are a time of refreshing for me. Glory to our Father!

March 2010

Praise Jesus!

I think everyone of us have days when it seems nothing goes right. I had one of those "Murphy Law" days this past month. And it provided our Lord another one of those teachable moments. It started about 4:30 AM while driving to our House of Refuge building site which is almost a two hour drive. Miles and miles from any civilization, up into the mountains the truck is running hot. After locating a small hole in the radiator hose and releasing pressure from radiator to add water we have a dead battery.

Finally after a very long time, a truck comes by and stops about 25 yards in front of us. A man gets out for a bathroom break and I ask if he could help. He finished his break and while laughing at us drives away! Finally rolling backwards down a narrow dangerous mountain road someone comes by and jump starts us.

Upon getting the truck fixed we get to the job site and experience a day of problems: Miscalculated needed steel bars, plywood, lumber, tie wires, nails; suppliers raising quoted prices; promised deliveries not showing up, etc. A day of negatives and thoughts were swirling in my head. By 3:00 PM I was mad at just about everybody and decided to leave and go home before I really lost my temper.

Traveling home thinking about all of the days negatives, anger was building by the minute. About half way home the Lord clearly spoke to me "Love thinketh no evil". Lolita and Teresa were with me and I ask Teresa to look up 1Corinthians 13 and read it to me while I was driving. Sure enough in verse 5 there it was "Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil".

After reading verses 1 thought 3 I realized that our Father was stretching me to grow more in love. All the challenges and experiences over the last two months was causing me to lose some love.

I am so thankful that our Father is compassionate longsuffering and His Love, Goodness and Faithfulness continue to change us more day by day into the image of our precious Lord and Savior Jesus!

God Bless all of you for your prayers for strength as I went through this growth process! Please Read 1 Corinthians 13, we can never read 1Corinthians 13 to often.

Reminder "It doesn’t matter how big your fruit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, meekness, kindness, temperance, patience, and faith) is. There is bigger fruit to grow!"

House of Refuge

Praise Jesus! We have electricity on the job site now. Hopefully, when you receive this newsletter the combination concrete ceiling of the first floor and floor of the second level will be poured. Both the cross support beams and concrete slab must be poured at one time so it will be a full day and maybe even night for the 20-25 workers.

Those who received the short e-mail video of our preparatory work for this big day’s work will be able to fully appreciate this e-mail response from Brother Sammy in Florida.

Brother Harrell:
As I sat here and watched this video, I was reminded of how blessed we really are here in the U.S. All we have to do is call a cement company and the truck is rolling. There in your presence are the hard working men who are building this facility with their muscles from the ground up. Whatever is needed, they provide it or at the very least, they make up for the shortage of
equipment. What a blessing to be in the presence of men who are a modern day Nehemiah. They are staying on the wall until the work is done. Thank them for me in Jesus’ name; for their commitment to work for our God and His Son, Jesus, our Lord. May our God richly bless you all in Jesus’ name.
Bro. Sammy

As I read his email I realized even with the electricity that we now have there are still no power tools and it will continue to be hand labor. Glory to God for the physical strength He is giving.

The one bag Cement Mixer and Vibrator that we rented was picked up by the owner for his personal use. We have prayed and searched everywhere to find another to rent for the second floor pouring. In the event we have to purchase a mixer and vibrator the cost is $1,200.00. As I write this we only have a couple more days to locate rentals. Please pray that our Lord will fill this need.

Praise Jesus! When we finish this big day’s cement mix and pour, 2-4 weeks of time will be needed for the cement to cure before we can continue. This will allow us some time to recoup physically and more importantly time for some evangelistic outreach ministry.

This island has so many remote villages in the mountain regions that are in great need for the Good News of Jesus Christ. Many of you know this ministry of evangelism to be the joy of my heart and it will be such a time of refreshing for me from the construction work and overseeing that has consumed my time over the past few months.

If you would rather send money for us to purchase supplies, please designate on your check, School Supplies. Mail to: I AM BORN AGAIN MINISTRIES P. O. Box 775 Bronson, Fl. 32621

February 2010

Praise Jesus!

This has been a challenging and educational month! Many challenges as we started the construction project, but Praise Jesus He has given us the Grace for victory!

This month Our Precious Wonderful Lord Jesus placed in my heart (do not weary in doing good). Brothers and Sisters we can’t let setbacks, mistreatment by others, whether intentional or non-intentional cause us to weary in doing good. Gal. 6:9" let us not become weary in doing good for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up". We must forgive so we can be forgiven and continue with joy in the work our Father has given us!

In our case this month while trying to buy and get material delivered to the jobsite, some people ( not all ) try to charge double or more because I am a foreigner, or some people (not all ) delay signing your permit wanting a bribe. Or maybe someone has spoken bad things about you... Etc. ...etc.

These things can tend to cause us to weary in trying to do good for the many many very poor hungry kids.. But Praise Jesus, when these things come about our Father gives us the Grace to conquer the battle and just one smile of thankfulness from one of the little kids can renew your desire for doing good. They are truly Precious in His sight!

We also have to be prayerful that we don’t try to strike back, but rather trust our Father to give us back double even up to 7 times what the thief has stolen. To turn the other check, to say as our Precious Jesus and Stephen did.
Luke 23:34" Father forgive them for they know not what they do"
Acts 7:60" Lord lay not this sin to their charge."

Unfortunately all to often our flesh wants to render judgment, like James and John in Luke 9:56 they asked if Jesus would command fire to come down and burn up some people but Jesus rebuked them and said Luke 9:55-56 "you do not know what manner of Spirit, you are of; for the son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them".

Brothers and Sisters let us remember this, when we have been wronged, let us forgive so we can be forgiven.

Let’s encourage each other to take the High Road with Jesus and Holy Spirit of our Living Father and discourage each other from taking the Low Road of a different kind of spirit.

One thing I learned a long time ago, "You do not have to snuff someones elses light out, to make your light shine!"

House of Refuge

Praise Jesus, the Lord has directed us to a man to be foreman of our construction job. His name is Rudyard (pronounce ROAD YARD). We still do not have electricity (1 of the challenges) and still haven’t finished drilling the well (another challenge) But Praise Jesus we have septic tank finished and temporary bathroom (outhouse) We are hand pumping water and have gotten a lot accomplished: Dug the foundation and poured big pads for the steel columns; poured footers and laid blocks to floor level. Everything is going great and I tell you the truth, only because of our Father and His Power!

Every day before work Rudyard or Mark have Devotion and Prayer before starting: how vital this is. One day, for what ever reason, they didn't start with Prayer and Devotion. There were 2 injuries and some minor setbacks on the Job. We Praise Jesus for His presence, safety to workers and protection on the Job!

Proclaimer

By the leading of Holy Spirit Mark started playing the proclaimer while they are working.

We were given several of these wonderful witness tools last year before we came. They are like a portable radio except they play the Word of God!!! You can turn it on and it will play continuous through the word of God, or you can select book, chapter or verse.

They are solar Powered with a hand crank battery charger and also have AC plug! They are perfect for use in the many areas we go and right now at the Job Site.

Romans 10:17 "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of GOD." All the workers, even the neighbors and just people who come by to look, are listening to GOD's WORD and it shall not Return Void! (Isaiah 55:11)

We gave all but the one we have to different Pastors on several Islands who go to Tribal and remote areas without electricity. We are still waiting on reports from what our Lord Jesus did with these Proclaimers in these areas. LORD willing, we will get some great Praise Reports on Salvations, Healings, Deliverance from the use of those Proclaimers.

Feeding Program

WOW!!! PRAISE JESUS!!! This is so wonderful, so Blessed, so encouraging both Elementary Schools are going Great! The Parents, Teachers, and Officials; Our LORD JESUS has touched them all to be a part of this! Either cooking or cleaning up helping with singing or devotions; it is surely Blessed by Our FATHER!

Even while going around getting prices on materials for construction people have asked to come and help with singing or cooking etc...

Then there are the children!! Words can not explain the wonderful feelings when they smile with thankfulness and look at you with their beautiful eyes in such shy, humble Gratitude. I am so Thankful to our LORD and praise our FATHER for all of you that are partakers of all the Fruit and Treasures that are being Rewarded!!

School Supply Distribution

As I have mentioned in one of the recent videos, there are many children being fed at the elementary school, who wouldn't be there this year if our LORD had not touched your hearts to help with school supplies last year. I hope and pray that we can have a substantial increase this year.

Now is the time to send supplies,, if you desire or to send money for us to buy supplies here. PLEASE Designate on your Check!!

PRAISE JESUS AND THANK YOU!!!

Prayer Request

1) Souls to be saved, healed, delivered and on fire on Jesus

2) God's wisdom, Protection, Direction for my self and team

3) Provisions for water well, House of Refuge construction, feeding and school supplies

Personal News

*STOVE FOR LOLITA
Lolita was Greatly Blessed this month as she was informed that Brothers and Sisters in Porterdale, GA. had taken up a donation for her to buy a stove.

She was so excited when she heard of the blessing. Appliances are extremely high priced here and she is taking her time looking everywhere for just the right one and exited about being able to bake things for the kids!!

I am exited because if she bakes any cookies for the kid’s maybe I (this big kid) can get one. Lolita was just overwhelmed with Great Gratitude and thankfulness at this precious act of Love, Praising Jesus for provision through our Dear Brothers and Sisters.

BABY HARRELL
The Harrell's are officially here in Palawan Philippines!
When we started doing the Lord’s work around the area of the House of Refuge, a woman had just given birth to a little boy. When she heard my 1st name Harrell, she thought it was so nice she named her son Harrell ,he is very handsome ( gwapo in their language), just like His name sake!!

January 2010

Praise Jesus!!!

Wow it’s been busy this Month!!! Sharing the true meaning of Christmas: that of celebrating the fulfilling of our Father’s promise to send a saviour and His love for us being so great, He sent His Son JESUS to be the needed sacrifice for my sins and yours!! What a wonderful Loving Father in Heaven we have.!!!! So besides all the teaching on this to the kids and adults, giving shoe box presents and stuffed animals, working on our Mission Property, including needed permitting, prayer time, Preaching and my exercise time each morning its been GREAT, PRAISE JESUS!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!

Exercise time was not a misprint, almost every morning I wake up at 5:00 am, have my morning prayer time then to the baywalk close by and walk or jog. Its a nice place and many others are jogging also...Its marked every 100 meters, and up and back is 800 meters. Some days are harder than others and a couple days in a row when I was heading to the finish line I would cut over to the truck approx 10 meters from the finish.

About the third time I did this, I perceived the Lord saying, "Harrell finish the RACE"! And like last month when He was telling me to abide in Him not to get chocked by cares of this world and deceitfulness of riches, He was saying don’t let the weight of unforgiveness to those who speak evil of you or persecute you or even the loss of love ones or a failing world economy keep you from finishing the race. Even when tired and weary finish to the END. Heb.12:1 wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with PATIENCE the race that is set before us, (2) looking unto JESUS the Author and finisher of our FAITH, who for the JOY that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of the Throne of GOD. (3) For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (4) Ye have not yet resisted unto blood striving against sin...

Brothers and Sisters, join me in staying strong in the Faith, encouraging each other, helping each other, Finishing Our Race with PATIENCE and JOY...!!!!

Christmas Gifts

We were Blessed mightily this year with Shoe Box Gifts to give to the children in Tinagong Dagat Elementary School.. Tears of joy several times fell from my eyes as the kids opened their gifts and also received stuffed animals. Many of these children had never received a gift or stuffed animal. Also there were many that would not have even been in school this year except for Our LORD JESUS touching you last year to give for their school supply! I hope you have seen the E-mail videos of them getting their presents!!!

House of Refuge

I want you all to know that my body is sore!!!! But still PRAISING JESUS!!!! I found out I can’t work like I did at 20. We should have our Electricity Permit soon. All big coconut trees are down and cut into lumber, but still have stumps to remove.

Please pray for our LORD to bring the right person to oversee our Building Project, we receive sound advice to dig the septic tank and drill the well before construction. Bathroom facilities for workers and water for concrete construction will be needed.

Feeding Program

Praise Jesus, the LORD has Blessed Greatly! The parents and teachers all have been so thankful and helpful. Starting January we will increase the feeding at Tinagong Dagat to 3 days per week. Also January we will start a noon feeding at our second Elementary School two days a week: it is a very poor area called Tagumpay. As at the Tinagong Dagat Elementary School the parents will volunteer to cook and clean up and we will be ministering before the feeding. The current enrollment at Tagumpay is 176 children. We also gave stuffed toys here this year for Christmas!!

School Supply Distribution

Our annual distribution of school supplies will be in May for the next school year. So please be preparing to help by gathering supplies to ship. Remember it takes 1 1/2 months to ship. Last year many children were helped and we pray for an increase this YEAR.... We have our own place for delivery this year so no confusion with shipping to someone else, PRAISE JESUS!!!

Prayer Request

1) God's wisdom, Protection and Direction for myself and our field team
2) Souls to be Saved Healed Delivered and on fire for Jesus
3) Provisions for the water well at the mission property
4) Provisions for a new 250cc ATV 4-wheeler of $2000 to access the remote areas of the Island
5) The perfect overseer for our Building Project,(Honest Reliable Etc)
6) Provisions for Building, Feeding and School Supplies

What an unexpected blessing we experienced Christmas day. Expecting and planning a simple quite day to ourselves, an elderly lady came by seeking alms. We were blessed to be able to share the true Christmas story with her and upon her request prayed for her salvation. As our discussion and teaching continued with her we next found ourselves upon her request at the nearest beach baptizing her in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. To think our Father would choose us to be a part of this new birth on the observed day of His Son’s birth is beyond words of expression.

All of us here at I am Born Again Ministries in the Philippines as well as our Board of Directors in U.S.A. pray you all will have a BLESSED and Prosperous NEW YEAR!!!!!!

WE LOVE YOU
THANK YOU
