Praise Jesus!

For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you plans to give you hope and a future. -- Jeremiah 29:11

Wow! What an exciting and blessed month for you, me and everyone connected with I AM BORN AGAIN MINISTRIES.

The day after Lolita and I arrived in Palawan, along with Len Campbell and his 17 year old son, Ben, we started evangelizing twice, sometimes 3 times a day. Pastor Mark and Teresa led the entire Refuge team through the following days.

Young Ben was used mightily by our Father as he stretched himself. In mountain tribes and schools, he stepped up and shared about his best friend Jesus and what Jesus did on the cross so he and anyone else could have that personal relationship with Him and be reconciled to the Father in Heaven. Hear these words from Ben:

Dear Pastor Harrell and Lolita,

Thank you so much for having me and my Dad at The Refuge House. It was the highlight of my life thus far, and I know it won't be my last trip. From the moment we arrived the team made us feel so at home. Pastor Mark, Teresa, and their whole team did such an incredible job. I was blessed to be around company of like mind.

The second day at The Refuge House, I came down with a fever and anything else you could think of. All through the night Miss Lolita was in and out of the room praying and taking care of me. The next morning I woke up healed!

Although I couldn't understand what he was saying, it was evident that Pastor Mark is one of the best communicators I've ever seen, Lolita and Miss Teresa does an excellent job of running things from behind the scenes.

Bong, My My, Diane, Hazel and all the rest of the youth did an incredible job with set up, tear down, sound team, worship team and cooking for seven days of multiple outreaches per day. Not once did anyone complain even when the jeepney wouldn't go up the mountain. Pastor Harrell said "lets go" and without missing a beat the team picked up the pots and food and we walked two miles in the rain to a tribal outreach and souls were saved. Over the course of one week 3,000 souls were saved and people were healed. God moved mightily.

Thank you to Pastor Harrell and everyone at The Refuge House for allowing me to be a part of the team. I can't wait to come back!

Ben’s dad, Len, took what may be miles of video footage during his time with us and with his technical, video and production skills we will have ample viewing for you in the coming months of the tremendous impact our Lord has had upon the people of Palawan over the past month. It is impossible to communicate the full impact this month has had without being here in person, but we will do our best over the coming months presenting what has taken place during November 2013. In our last newsletter I called upon you to be in prayer for souls to be rescued and brought into the saving grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus. The results we have witnessed here indicate you heeded that call.

Here are some words of Len expressing his thoughts:

Dear Harrell and Lolita,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for such an amazing missionary experience. Your team is truly anointed. You and Lolita have taken care of us like family. We really felt like we were home. Pastors Mark and Theresa, Diane, Hazel, Bong and Mi Mi, and the rest of the team, are very capable of anything you would ask them to do and they proved it again and again.

An example that comes to mind is when the jeepney couldn't make it to our tribal outreach location because of the rain that was brought on by Typhoon Haiyan. You said we were going to walk and without missing a beat and with no complaining the team picks up the large cooking pots, food and other musical equipment, trekked 2 miles in the rain through the mud and rock and brought the Word of God to the tribe, afterward cooking and feeding them till they were full. When they were done, they loaded everything up again and walked back the 2 miles...never complaining. God's hand is definitely at work at the Refuge House.

I must give a special thanks to the boys who helped up and down the mountain in the mud on another tribal outreach. Without their help I'd still be there up to my knees in the mud. I have video of this embarrassing event and may just have to accidently lose it to protect my rugged image.

The school outreaches touched my heart. Just knowing that some of these kid’s only meal is the one that you provided them. Almost 3,000 people gave their lives to Jesus in those 7 days because you and your team are faithful in God's call. You are a great man and a good friend and I can honestly say that the time I spent with you was spent with royalty. You and your team have a special place in my heart. I will never forget this wonderful experience and I look forward to going back.

There were many times that our visitors, Len and Ben, and the Refuge Team could have complained: Not the least of walking two miles in driving rain, coming from a Typhoon, to a tribal village then walking two miles back, sliding down in the mud (mostly me doing the sliding), hard rough travel by Jeepny, very plain food (rice and rice and more rice), up every morning at four or five AM, not back to bed until after dark. Wet, rainy, hot, muggy. But no one complained they just kept Praising Jesus and remembering it was about souls spending eternity with Jesus! We surely were blessed by Len & Ben being here and will miss them greatly!

I want to tell all of you a heart felt Thank You for your prayers of safety from the Typhoon. I had no communication with anyone and only found out later the Typhoon turned just enough north before it hit Palawan sparing us the brunt of it as it hit northern Palawan. I know our Lord heard your prayers! Thank You!

Well, a few days after Len and Ben left for home, Joyce Igo of West Virginia arrived and joined us in evangelism. And Our Lord continued to draw people to Him using Joyce in a mighty way as well. More tribes and schools were reached and told about Jesus!

Again our team never complained about any challenge or hardship but just Praised Jesus! All in all this month over 6,000 people repented and surrendered to our Lord Jesus sovereignty.

Praise Jesus, Praise Jesus! Fruit to our account!

As most of you know we always feed the children and adults after an outreach: Again Treasures in Heaven for you and me.

I want to tell you that my heart was re-broken this month as I saw the poor malnourished children in the schools. One school in particular looked to me as if every child in attendance was malnourished... every child!

It was one of the last schools we ministered to this month, I found myself sitting about 20 yards from the school next to a muddy path the kids would walk on their way home from school.

We had shared Jesus (feeding the soul) and adding some quality nutrients to their hungry bellies and I was there under a tree taken up in thoughts of how our Lord is blessing this ministry and giving my thanks and praise to Him as kids started leaving the school in small groups of 3, 5, 7 walking past me down the muddy wet path.

As they walked by me, in soft sweet voices they would say “Thank You Pastor”. Several groups went by, then one little boy, by himself walked out of the school gate and started down the path where I sat.

When he reached where I was, instead of continuing by, he stopped turned to me and walked over to where I sat. He was about seven years old with big brown eyes and a sweet smile he looked at me and said “Please come back again”. He turned, walked back to the path, waved and walked away.

I cannot even begin to tell you how I felt in my heart, words cannot describe it! What I have to say now is not super spiritual but it is truly from my heart. I will get on my knees and beg every one of you who read this newsletter to call ten of your friends and ask them to please help us be able to go to these schools and teach Jesus and feed those precious children!

The Bible says we have not because we ask not. I am not only asking -- I am crying!

I have more to share but not able to write any more.

In conclusion, please be in prayer for the families of victims resulting from the typhoon. Much relief and encouragement is needed by so many.

Praise Jesus!

Just letting you all know that there has been contact with someone traveling with Harrell & Lolita. They are okay and out of danger. In fact, they are proceeding with scheduled outreaches and seeing many people give their hearts to Jesus! Continue to pray for people in the Philippines and the relief and rebuilding efforts that follow. May God be glorified in the tangible love shown to people in great need!

Praise Jesus!

Our month has been busy with packing and shipping boxes of food and Christmas gifts. But, Praise Jesus all that we have has been shipped to Palawan. When all the shipped food arrives we will have enough food for our feeding program for almost a year, depending on how many more schools we add to our current feeding program. What a tremendous blessing for you and me to feed the least of these, our Lord Jesus’ little ones.

The Christmas Blessing Bags are also on the way along with all the gifts that you gave. Lord willing, they should be there before Christmas this year. Again what a tremendous blessing, for you and me, as well as a great opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus to the whole family. As you perhaps know from our previous years of presenting gifts to the children, we find many children receiving their first Christmas gift of any kind. Again a blessed opportunity to share with them the wonderful Christmas gift of Jesus our Savior. If some of you still have gifts to be sent please contact Cathy Helton at 352-472-2418 to make arrangements for shipping.

As we prepare to return to the Refuge House in Palawan next month, Lolita and I are so excited as to what our Lord will do in the next several months. Lolita has had dreams of harvesting souls. Our Lord Jesus has quickened in my spirit to go get souls. Over the past few months people we don’t even know have walked up to us and shared that the Lord wants us to go harvest souls. So PLEASE PRAY for souls to be saved.

We are especially excited as there will be several Brothers and Sisters coming to Palawan in the next few months: Excited to see how great our Lord Jesus uses them in this great harvest He wants to give.

Beloved Brothers and Sisters, be partakers with us in the harvest of fruit to our accounts and the multitude of treasures in heaven He is giving us. This is good ground to sow seed for a 100 fold increase. It’s buying gold tried in the fire by Him.

Pastor Mark and the Refuge team are already prepared for our arrival. They are daily in prayer, not only with your prayer request, but for souls to be saved. They have been getting everything ready so when we arrive we will start evangelizing outreaches for souls.

Praise Jesus!

Only 2 months until we return to the Philippines and, PRAISE JESUS, we have almost 1/4 of the $25,000 we have been praying for to support next years' Discipleship & Feeding in Schools of Palawan. GLORY TO GOD - THANK YOU JESUS ! He says we will not lack in doing any good thing. Please pray with us for the rest of HIS provisions. Remember this is GOOD ground to sow seed and get a 100 fold increase.

We are excited to get back to the Philippines and we are praying for a HUGE Harvest of Souls. Pastor Mark has the Refuge team prepared and ready to go.

He has done an EXCELLENT Job for our LORD JESUS while we have been gone: Being about our FATHERS business of Saying what JESUS says & Doing what JESUS says to do, winning souls and storing Treasures in Heaven. We all are partakers in this with him and our Refuge Team. THANK YOU JESUS ! Thank you for the Prayers and Love you have shone.

Discipleship & Feeding -- From Pastor Mark

Praise our Lord Jesus Christ for the feeding ministry, because of this, we reached more souls to be saved and more souls to praise our Heavenly Father.

Those children who received our Lord Jesus Christ will give a big smile to the face of our God. Feeding ministry is a big blessing for all the children that have been feed by the nutritious manna pack.

These kids gain healthy bodies, since they avail of the feeding program as well as they gain more knowledge about how God sacrificed His Son for all of us. And these children will grow healthy physically, emotionally and spiritually. Someday these children will be great leaders and be the doers of the word of the Lord on their generation.

This feeding program today is a good seed that you plant, and these plants are growing healthy and in harvest time you will reap a good harvest.

I give praises and glory to our Lord and Saviour for all of Your prayers and support for the feeding program here in Palawan Philippines.

The churches now are being blessed because of the feeding programs. They also reach more souls. The number of attendance of their children is growing. That is why we are so blessed and we always pray and giving thanks to our Lord and Saviour for all of your life, we Thank Him for all of your generous heart. Testimony

Again this month we share with you the Testimony of one of the members of Refuge House Church on Palawan who has been transformed by the saving Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and has begun her life journey being conformed into His likeness.

I am Janeth Espida 33 years old, I'm married and I have 3 children,1 girl and 2 boys. I'm living here at Tinagong Dagat Narra Palawan Philippines. I would like to share my life testimony before and how our Father in heaven change my life. Before I didn't have any peace in my life because of the hardship and problems that is always in me. My husband and I are always fighting each other because of my husband jealousy.

Every time I'm going to church he always get mad at me. The reason is he is Christian also but not really active, I think all he knows is he’s Christian but not in his action.

One day I'm thinking to kill my self and at that moment something whispering in my ears and telling me not to do it because my children need me. Suddenly, I cry and I think that it is not good idea and I need to live for my children sake. Also at that time I know there are Pastors doing the building for the church name I AM BORN AGAIN MINISTRIES. I think that God sent this people to use just to tell us that there is always hope for the hopeless people like me.

First my 2 kids is the one who went to church at Refuge House and every time they come home from church both of them ask me to go with them on Sunday, they told me ''mama we hope that next Sunday you come with us to church'' and my answer is ''I would never go at that church'' ( I was a member of a different religion).

But days pass and suddenly its just come up in my mind that I'm going to church at the Refuge House and I felt in my heart that there is true presence of God and I know that when I decide to go to church our Lord Jesus Christ doing something in my heart. I feel the peace and love that I cannot get in the world and I received Him in my heart and proclaim that he is my Savior and He is the one who can give me hope.

From that moment until now I'm always going to church and every activity I am always present and I'm always praising Him. Now I'm the member of the choir because when I meet Pastor Harrell and Pastor Mark they are the one help me spiritually and teach me to be active for whatever activity for the kingdom of God and the blessing in my life will start coming.

Our Father in heaven is always protecting me specially when I drove my motor to send my passenger anywhere and I feel that our Father in heaven is always with me because I put my trust in Him. That is why I'm very thankful for I know him and meet people who is willing to help most specially for taking care our spiritually, I thank also the people who is continue praying for me. Thank you Lord I give you praise glory and honor in Jesus Name Amen

Praise Jesus!

BELOVED Brothers and Sisters, many great things are happening at the Refuge House, but in my heart I ask we continue to pray hard again this month for the provisions to expand the Discipleship and Feeding in Elementary Schools. Our Wonderful LORD JESUS has provided part of what we have asked. Please be in Prayer that we have the full provision before returning to Palawan in November.

Feeding Program

Praise Jesus! This year we have the opportunity to increase this Discipleship and Feeding program to many more schools. Our Lord has blessed us with this opportunity to give food to the least of these little ones!

So many kids are malnourished and with the meals we now have available, fortified with the much needed vitamins and minerals lacking in their daily diet, these kids will be able to grow strong and healthy physically. And with the Word of God presented at each feeding they are given the same opportunity to grow strong and healthy Spiritually.

You and I can make a great impact for our Fathers’ Kingdom. Dear Brothers and Sisters this is very fertile ground to sow seed bringing back an abundant Harvest of Souls and Treasures to your account in Heaven.

Please be in agreement with us and pray that our Lord will provide $25,000 to expand our Discipleship and Feeding programs into many more schools: To literally be able to disciple and feed thousands more of hungry Palawan children.

Feeding Testimony from One of Many Churches

Shalom! Our church is Zion Revival church.

We are so glad and thankful because manna pack rice is a great blessing for our church. Specially for those malnourish children here in our place. There are many children here who are not receiving proper nutrition from the food they eat. Also they are not taking any vitamins. That is why most of the children here in our place are malnourish: but thanks to our Lord and savior for His goodness. Thanks also to Ptr. Harrell Hemingway, for he is the bridge of blessing here in Palawan for giving us the nutritious manna pack.

Here in our church every Sunday morning after our Sunday school, we feed more than 50 kids. They are very happy and exited goings to church, as well as the parents are very thankful for the feeding.

Again we are so thankful to Ptr. Harrell and Lolita because through them, “manna pack” reach us, we are so bless. Thank you and be blessed also.

Finally thank you for all the supply of manna pack rice. Thank you for your great generosity, and we pray that God will bless you more and to become a blessing to others. I declare continuous open feeding.

From Pastor Mark at the Refuge House in Palawan Philippines

PRAISE JESUS! All our women attended a women's fellowship. Everybody participated in all of their activities: bible spelling, singing and bible memory verse receiving the first prizes. I am so blessed because they already grow spiritually and they have the unity. As part of the body of Christ, unity is very important because when there is unity, there is blessing and victories.

We had a cottage prayer meeting at the house of one of the church members and it was raining. While I was teaching the Word and sharing the love of our heavenly FATHER, I discovered that my Bible is getting wet because of the rain drops from the roof: If you look up you can see the heaven and when you look down you can see the soil floor.

At our church service on Sunday, it just came up into my heart to ask the congregation if they want a blessing and they said Yes.

So I ask them if they can contribute material for the roof (the material for roofing is made from coconut leaf) and I praise Jesus because everybody agreed.

So we divide to each family as to how many they are going to give. I'm very thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ because the unity has always been taught with this congregation.

Even though they are very poor, they are willing to help. Our God is always good and He is always showing His Love for this congregation, giving His very best for His children. That is why we are so blessed everyday.

School Supplies and Christmas Gifts from Director Cathy Helton

Praise God and Thank all of you that have already started collecting school supplies and Christmas gifts.

I've had one church make contact about picking up some gifts and I have already gotten some. Glory to God in the highest. What a wonderful time the children of the villages surrounding the House of Refuge will have receiving these gifts in the name of Jesus.

Don't forget that the school supplies are already going on sale herein the USA, so take advantage of it.

Remember these children will love anything you send, Dolls, hair bows, combs & brushes, coloring books & crayons, small toy cars & trucks, farm animals, stuffed toys, pencils, pens, rulers, plastic cups, Frisbees, balls, jacks, jump ropes, etc.

Have fun picking out things that will bring a smile to their faces and I know from experience that you will be smiling as well.

Praise Jesus!

What a blessed month at the Refuge! Pastor Mark and the Refuge team distributed school supplies to many children that now will be able to attend school. This is such a blessing for the children who could not afford to buy the supplies. It was a great time of praising Jesus and thanking God for you! Because of your giving children six to twelve years old are able to go to school, instead of having to work in fields or hunt for food in the forest. What a blessing you are!

Feeding Program

In the Philippines, summer break for the schools has come to a close and schools are now in progress. So, as well as the many area churches and different outreach areas where our feeding program continued during the summer school break, our children’s feeding ministry is resuming at full strength.

Testimony

Again this month we share with you the Testimony of one of the teenagers on Palawan who has been transformed by the saving Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and has begun her life journey being conformed into His likeness.

Brothers and sisters, I would like to share about my life testimony. I am 16 years old Hyziel. Before my life was always in trouble and full of sufferings, and always busy doing something that is not good in the eyes of our Lord Jesus Christ.

My mother, with me and my sisters and brothers are the ones looking for our food everyday: to be able to survive and have something to eat everyday, While my father is always drunk, and my parents are always fighting each other. That is why sometimes I cant think properly. I could not understand why our life is like this full of hardship and problems. We were always looking for our food everyday and when my father was drunk, he always get mad at my mother for no reason, and did not do anything for his family.

But one day there are missionaries come at the place where we stay and do something good for the people and telling about Jesus. One time Pastor Harrell and Lolita invite me to come to the refuge house to hear the word of our lord Jesus Christ and I think it is good. So I went and Pastor Harrell tell us that how Jesus Christ loving me so much. That He is my savior if I will received Him as personal savior and ask Jesus to come in my heart.

At that moment I surrender my life to Jesus and let Him be my Father and Saviour. When that happen in my life, I start praising Him and pray also for my family. After all I did, I can feel the happiness in my heart.

I am very thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ for His love for me and thankful also because He is giving us a person to take good care our soul and grow spiritually in the Lord. And now the happiness and peace that I was looking for I have already. I can feel it in my heart and now I continue to serve our heavenly Father. I know that if I’m gonna serve Him and seek Him first in my life there will be peace and blessing that comes from Our Father in Heaven. I thank Our Lord Jesus Christ for the people who are always praying for me and my family.

Thank you and God bless you, I give back the glory and honor to Our Lord Jesus Christ. In Jesus name Amen

Time for shipping the Christmas gifts and school supplies is right around the corner. I hope you are already picking up items as you find them. As you know these gifts are given to children, some of which have never gotten a gift in their life. These gifts are showing the love of Jesus and opening doors to share the Good News. This couldn't be done without all your help and what a blessing you've been. Please give me a call (352) 472-2418 when you have some items together and I'll make arrangements to get them here to be packed. We will start packing in July, and plan on shipping the boxes in early October to arrive just before Christmas. You can send items like Dolls, crayons, pencils, pens, small stuffed animals, combs & brushes, jump ropes, jacks, trucks, coloring books, small toys, etc. Please remember if you get a toy that requires batteries; please tape them to the toy. The school supplies will start going on sale here very soon, so take advantage of them. If you have any questions, please give me a call.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Pastor Mark and the ministry team are distributing school supplies as I write this message: Hope to send videos soon. As you perhaps know many of these kids would not be able to attend school if our Lord Jesus had not touched your heart to give those basic supplies. This also allows them to be at school so we can disciple and teach them about the love of Jesus as we feed them with food that is filled with all the vitamins and minerals these malnourished children need.

MY TESTIMONY---JACKYLOU LOPEZ

This is my life testimony, I am Jackylou Lopez, 12 years old. My family is very poor. My father is a farmer and my mother is raising animals. Sometimes I could not understand my mother, because there is a time that she is always talking by herself, and so many times she would scold me with no reason. Sometimes I heard my father and mother quarreling. I do not know what to do, so I just cry. And there is a time we eat root crops, even when going to school my breakfast, lunch and dinner is banana.

When I was little like 6 to 7 years old I felt I was very lonely, because i don't have any playmate. Nobody to talk to because we don't have any neighbors. There is a time I play and run with the piglets and chickens; going to the mountain to let myself enjoy being a kid. Years pass by but still i feel sorry and sad to my self because my classmate at school and people around me telling me that my mother is crazy, because she is always talk to herself.

One time there was pastor went in the school where I study, they would do the feeding, and that time also I have a big wound in my foot so the pastor told me to visit at refuge house and attend the church service so that they will pray for my big wound. And I did. I went there, and there pastors pray for me and at that moment when I sing their song I could not hold my tears to go down, and that moment I receive Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior and I surrender to Him my life.

After that ate. Lolita and pastor. Harrell let me come to their house and every weekend I slept there, and Jesus started to change my lonely life into happiness. I just feel the gladness inside in my heart when I receive Jesus as my Saviour. I continue serving Him and let Our Heavenly Father use me as worship leader of the children at Sunday service at refuge house. I thank the Lord Jesus Christ because when I start giving my life to Jesus, there is blessing in my life; my prayers is answered and ate. Lolita and pastor Harrell taking care of me.

I could not imagine in my life that I have a friend like Jesus and friends like parents to me as pastor Harrell and ate. Lolita. Thank you so much. God Bless You. thank you also for all of your prayers and support.

DISCIPLESHIP AND FEEDING

As school starts this month we as the body of Christ have an open door to share and teach Jesus in schools. The Lord has blessed us with very nutritious food with vitamins and minerals so we can go to more areas to share Jesus. We desire provisions to ship food and for sponsors for three ministry workers alone with three motorcycles. This is Good ground to sow seed and is bringing back an abundant Harvest of souls and Treasures in Heaven.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS

Please contact Cathy Helton (352-472-2418) and let’s get busy gathering gifts ready to send. I pray all of you would get at least five boys and five girls gifts together along with $1.00 per gift for shipping and then call so we can pick them up. We ship in October so we need to prepare now!

Again when we distribute in December it is a powerful time of sharing Jesus, when hearts are broken and softened to receive the Word of God. During this time whole families are saved. Again this is Good Ground for sowing Seed!

REFUGE HOUSE

Great and Mighty things continue at the Refuge. I was blessed to hear everything our Lord did in May: Men’s Convention; Youth Camp, Pastors Meetings, along with all our regular ministries.

Our work is not complete and we desire to build two more dormitories the cost about $20,000 each and also three staff rooms at a cost of $3,000 each. So along with evangelizing teams we hope that some building teams would come help with these additions. For more information call Ptr Harrell (352-275-9753).

You and I are so blessed!
With pastor Mark (under the direction of our Lord Jesus) running all the ministries at the Refuge, you and I are continuing to have much fruit stored to our account and an abundance of treasures being stored in Heaven: open air evangelical gospel preaching, home to home and cottage ministry, evangelizing and teaching, tribal evangelizing, and discipling.
Schools are closed until June 3rd but our other discipleship and feeding areas are ongoing during the summer vacation. The school discipleship and feeding will start back in June. We continue to do discipleship and feeding on small Islands even though school is out.

REFUGE HOUSE

Two different Youth Camps this month are scheduled, one Pastor Association meeting and our usual Sunday Adult Church, Children's Church, Saturday A.M. Children Discipleship and Bible Study. Friday and Wednesday Prayer & Praise, Saturday P.M. Youth Discipleship Group, Monday through Friday early morning prayer, 5:00 A.M.
Praise Jesus, Pastor Mark is trying to make me jealous. He told me they have scheduled more than our normal Open Air Evangelical Gospel Preaching this month!

CHRISTIMAS GIFTS From Director Cathy Helton

It’s almost time again to start gathering up and planning to send the Christmas gifts for the kids in Palawan. Harrell and Lolita are here this year and will be helping with the collection and shipping, Praise the Lord.

It is a big job and we need everyone to help. Last year all were great in sending gifts you’d collected and so many helped with the cost of shipping the boxes.

That’s the way the body of Christ works and what a Blessing for the children that receive these gifts, given in the Love of Christ. My phone # for the Christmas gifts is (352) 472-2418 , thank you Cathy.

On another note, I was speaking with Harrell about something he mentioned in the last newsletter about sponsoring a high school graduate. There are four students that are graduating from high school this year expressing an interest in continuing their help in the ministry at the Refuge.

These are teenagers that have been working in the ministry while schooling. At a cost of $100.00 each these graduates will receive lodging, meals and a small salary while they work full time in the ministry.

I don’t need to tell you what all they do if you’ve been reading the newsletters. Maybe one person can’t provide $100.00 per month, but a small group; Sunday school class, or church would be able to do so.

We already have a sponsor for one of the graduates, so that means only three remaining. Praise Jesus! The other children that need sponsoring are the little children that go to school. The cost is $50.00 per month and will help pay for transportation, uniform for school, lunch, and school projects, etc.

This much needed sponsorship will allow a child to attend school where they will hear the Good News from I Am Born Again Ministries. Please open your hearts as you have always done and sponsor a child knowing that you are adding to the Kingdom of God.

TESTIMONY OF VIRGIE VIZON

Brother and sister I just want to share about my life before when I didn’t know Jesus yet in my life. I’m Virgie Vizon I have seven children and we’re very poor.

My husband is always drunk. Every time when he gets home, we always fight, shouting at each other, and that’s my life everyday. If I have a problem I look for solution by my self. My husband doesn’t care. All he wants to do is to get drunk and have fun with his friends.

But when there is time that I’m alone, I think it good to end my life, I didn’t want to live anymore, I have a lot of questions for myself and to God. Is this all my life gonna be in this world.

My life is always so hard even when I was still a kid. It is always a hardship and problem that I encounter everyday in my life. That is why sometimes I think to end my life

But suddenly I realize that I love my children so much. When I felt hardship, problem and I’m so tired of living, my children are always there for me, helping me to be strong.

I just felt lighter when pastor Harrell and Lolita decide to stay at the Brgy where we live, because I know that these people bringing a good news for the people who suffer emotionally and spiritually.
One time the missionaries invite me and my children to come to Refuge House to hear the word of God. After that we went to Refuge House and hear the word of salvation. I received Jesus Christ as personal saviour in my life and gave my trust in Him and serve Him.

My life now is different because I feel happiness in my heart, full of hope. That when our Lord Jesus comes back to get His people, I’m confident enough that I’m one of them, to be with our heavenly father and now I feel the happiness in my heart I never felt before

Me and my children are serving our heavenly Father and continually praising His name. I give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for saving me and giving me happiness that I can not get in this world.

I thank Him also for giving us a person who is helping and teaching us to have faith and grow spiritually more in everyday of my life. I gave back the Glory and Honor to our Lord Jesus Christ Amen

Praise Jesus! “The grave could not hold Him, He’s Alive, He’s Alive, He’s Alive!"

Praise Jesus! Lolita and I have had time to refresh and ready to start visiting and sharing the exciting things happening in Palawan. Lord willing we will be here for at least six months. We want to see everyone if possible. Please call and let’s set up a time when we can visit. Our cell phone number is (352) 275-9753 ; I still had Jet Lag when I wrote the phone number last month. I had the wrong area code.

Praise Jesus! We just received word of an opportunity to really be blessed. Six boxes of food containing about 800 meals each have been donated to us by a ministry in Michigan. These meals have been fortified with the necessary vitamins and minerals needed by the children of the Philippines. Our only cost is shipping at $90 per box.

Several months back we gave a praise report on how well the children of Palawan were doing after a few months of eating these meals.

Please pray that we will receive the financial assistance for shipping this food.

Also continue prayer for a set of drums and other musical items.

Praise Jesus! We have already been on several outreaches with other ministries here in U.S.A and have had a great time sharing Jesus, praying with people and just being with Brothers and Sisters here.

Praise Jesus the following is a testimony of one of our youth at the Refuge House that I received this past month. What a blessing.

This is my Testimony, I’m Diana A. Vizon, and I live in Brgy Tinagong Dagat. I’m sixteen years old. Before Jesus I can say I had a bad attitude: gossip is my game and sometimes a liar.

I didn’t like going to church, I didn’t know who Jesus was. All I know was his name. But I did not know what He could do. I didn’t know how to pray or anything about Jesus.

I had been staying at the house of my Aunt and she was the one helping me so I could go to school. My mother cannot help me with that at the time because she is the one looking for money to buy some food for my little brothers and sisters. My father is in prison.

One day there were missionaries that just come at that time and decide to stay at our Brgy and share the word of our Lord Jesus. They invite me, with my cousin and sister, to visit at Refuge House.

We went there and we hear them share the love of Jesus Christ. After that we received Jesus Christ as our personal saviour in our lives. At that moment I understand who He is and what He is in my life.

Now every Sunday I attend church and I know how to pray and share also to others what I learn at the church and who Jesus is and what He can do if you just received as personal saviour.

One time Pastor Mark invite me to come to “God’s Encounter”, so I ask permission to my mother and my grandmother. They told me it’s OK, but when I ask permission to my aunt she did not allow me.

I ask several times but she send me away and told me she will not help me anymore with my schooling (Diana’s Aunt no longer wanted to support her financially so she could go to school).

She told me lots of things that hurt my feelings so bad. What I did is just cry and pray to the Lord. After what happen I went to my mothers’ house and continue to serve God. And still went to “Gods Encounter”, because I know our heavenly Father was going to do something for my life if I’m seeking Him First.

I thank our heavenly Father because He used Pastor Harrell and Lolita to help me to continue my schooling. I know God will bless you more, thank you also for the people who help me and for their support. Thank You and God Bless You, Diana A. Vizon

I hope you understand that when she decided to follow Jesus, her Aunt wanted nothing to do with her. Diana had no way to continue her schooling or to feed herself.

Because of sponsoring her she is now a strong part of our Youth Group and is graduating this year from high school.

I am hoping and praying that she and three others in the youth program who graduate this year will be blessed with sponsors so they can work in the ministry this next year.

Words from Pastor Mark: Praise Jesus have a blessed day to everyone! Everyday is another day of blessing and favor from our heavenly Father.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support for the ministry here in Palawan, Philippines. This month of March I was so blessed because there is a lot of good things happening here in the ministry. Our heavenly Father show us unexpected things.

Many of our brothers and sisters here in Christ have victorious life, because of their prayers and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ they received healing.

That is why I’m so thankful for our heavenly Father because these people can not even buy medicine for their sickness, but by their prayers God healed them completely.

Jesus said in His word in Luke 10:19 “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy nothing will ever harm you.”

Our heavenly Father is always true in His word and fulfils this word to those who trust in Him.

Praise Jesus!

Hallelujah! We are in the U.S.A. but, will not start ministering or speaking until early April after Passover. We will take this time for prayer and refreshing.

REFUGE HOUSE

All the ministries of our Lord Jesus at the Refuge are continuing while we are away.

Pastor Mark and his team are continuing all the discipleship and feeding programs in the schools, churches, and at the different area homes. Cottage prayer meetings, evangelical meetings and house to house visitations are all continuing.

Discipleship, youth meetings, prayer meeting, adult service, children service, praise and worship practice are all continuing also at the Refuge itself.

PRAYER REQUEST

Continue to join with us in prayer for a set of drums ;that we may ship to Palawan for use in the ministry. If you are aware of such please call me so we can ship them to the Refuge. Thank You.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION

Our annual school supply distribution will be the end of April or first of May. This year we have enough supplies sent during Christmas Gifts time that we will not have to send anything unless you already have supplies to send.

All we have to provide now is the small writing pads, for the first through fifth grades, which we will purchase in the Philippines. The total cost of this would be about $200 dollars.

As we have mentioned in the past many of the children would be limited in their time at school without these supplies. We are so blessed and thankful that this year most of the supplies- notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, scissors, sharpeners, glue, etc. are already there and ready to give! Praise Jesus!

PERSONAL NOTE

Dear Brothers and Sisters, words can not describe my love to you. I stand in humble awe at how our wonderful Father has put us together to build His Kingdom here on earth.

For our Father to take us to an area where no church existed, to start from nothing and in four years have a vibrant place of Praise to our Lord Jesus and worship of our Father in Heaven is beyond my wildest expectation.

In four years discipling a young brother, overflowing with the love and compassion of our Lord Jesus, into a mighty man is amazing to behold: A mighty warrior of our Lord, who now continues to disciple and share in what has been given him.

To see our Father bring Brothers and Sisters from many different churches to have so many activities of Praise to our Lord Jesus!

And during these times hundreds surrendering to the pulling of Holy Spirit, being Baptized, delivered, filled to overflowing with love, joy, peace, longsuffering, meekness, kindness, temperance, patience, and Faith!

To see a new church started and growing continually and even with persecution, staying strong in Faith in Jesus.

To see children’s church started and grow into a powerful witness with the presence of our Father in Heaven!

In these four years literally tens of thousands of meals have been given to very poor hungry children, teaching and discipling in the ways of Jesus!

In four years hundreds of children have received school supplies, allowing them to go to school along with many who were sponsored by loving brothers and sisters of the USA to help with uniforms and travel, projects and other schooling needs.

These past four years have seen hundreds of Christmas Gifts given with love to children who usually have never had a gift of any kind:

Helping build small homes for very poor families.

All of this and not even counting the actual building of The Refuge: two dormitories, three staff quarters, shop area, cooking area, cleaning area, five bathrooms, a pump house with pump and running water reaches beyond my expectation.

Praise Jesus! And then the main building. Remember we didn’t even have electricity till after the first year!

Our Father sure meant what He said “I will make this a praise in the Earth to Me”!

Again I stand in humble awe as I realize that you and I are so Blessed to be a part of His work here!

That you and I working together as one, different parts of His Body, but working as one to bring Faith, Hope and Love of our Lord Jesus to the lost of the world.

I am humbled that our Father loved you and me so much that He allowed you and me to receive such an abundance of Fruit of the Harvest and Treasures stored in Heaven.

With our Fathers grace and mercy we will continue on bringing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to lost and dying world!

Hi to all and blessings for today!

Praise Jesus!

I hope I didn’t overwhelm you with so many videos of giving Christmas gifts. It is hard to find a place to e-mail so Lolita and I went to the Island of Luzun for two weeks to work on the computer for the e-mail videos.
We are back now and just Blessed and Praising Jesus for all of you! We had so many videos we could not send them all! We are still receiving “thank you” and Praises to Jesus for you and the gifts.
As many of you know, Pastor Mark has been discipled for over four years and has finished his training: not one but two different pastoral training programs, with lots and lots of on the job training, and has been pastoring for a year at the Refuge.
He is exciting, energetic and full of the love and compassion of Jesus and I praise Jesus for what He has done and He is continuing to do with Pastor Mark. He will start sharing his heart with you and about the work here! This is his first newsletter and I hope you are blessed and can understand a little how I can relate to Paul and his love for Timothy.

Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for His goodness and compassion in our life. He is always taking care and shows His great love for us every day.
First of all I want you to know how big is the favor and help that you’ve shared for the ministry here in Palawan, Philippines. Because of all your prayers and support, many souls give their lives to our Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as personal Saviour.
Last December 2012, we received the Christmas gifts that you sent for the poor children here in Palawan. While we distributed those Christmas presents to the children, we saw that they were very happy and excited to receive and look for what is in the bag. When they receive their Christmas present we see them talking, laughing and different expressions on their faces, showing how excited and happy they are on that day.
Most of those kids are very poor. They cannot even afford buying a small toy. But thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ because He used each and everyone of you to make their hearts happy.
We always pray that you will harvest abundantly and receive the desire of your heart today and He will bless the work of your hands. Thank You and God bless you and more treasures in heaven.

REFUGE

I’m gonna share some of the improvements and activities here at Refuge house. By this some people from different churches come here and ask to schedule use of the property for their different activities like youth camp, ministerial meeting, Baptism, men’s meeting and more. We thank and praise our Lord Jesus Christ for that.
Because we always pray for the souls to be saved. Our heavenly Father uses this place for the kids, youth and adult who need salvation. I can’t imagine how wide and deep is the love and favor of our Lord Jesus Christ. All I know is we start letting God use our lives for His kingdom and now He continues doing miracle things in this area. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. God Bless you and your family.

CHURCH

Praise Jesus, for His mercy and goodness in my life. I did not expect we would have a church here, but thanks to our Heavenly Father because He allows it for His purpose. At my age (24) today He uses me as a pastor and I just trust in Him, follow Him and obey the Holy Spirit for what is needed to be done for His Kingdom. I thank God because He always teaches me and shows me His love and compassion for His people.
Beside Sunday service, we have prayer meeting every Friday night at the church and cottage prayer meetings once a week in different houses of the members. They also invite their neighbor to hear the word of God. But our Heavenly Father doing something in our prayer meeting because those people heard the word of God also received healing and salvation. After that they have testimonies how Jesus Christ change their life. We continue also our Saturday morning for the children. Teaching them a praise and worship song, bible story and after that their memory verse. And also Saturday afternoon is for the youth, we have a dance ministry for them.

FEEDING

Praise Jesus, feeding is a big help for the kids, especially for those kids that are very poor and don’t have food at their house. They are going to school because they know that they can have something to eat to fill their hungry stomach.
But it’s not about the food because we teach also the word of our Lord Jesus Christ and teach them how to pray. Because of the feeding the children continue to grow physically and also spiritually.

TESTIMONY

I thank our Lord Jesus Christ for His love and mercy. He always show miracle things and change people lives for His glory. We have a youth named Hazel. When Pastor Harrell and Lolita started to do the activity here at Refuge house, we invited this girl.
She is just quiet and shy but when we start to share the love of our heavenly Father she accept Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. After that she is active in every activity in the church. Until Lolita started to train and teach her how to teach the kids a bible story, memory verses and teach some songs.
I can see that she is willing to do the work of our Lord even though she is shy, she still say yes whenever we ask her to help with kids activity. She is always going to church when there is activity even though her mother didn’t want her to go.
But one prayer meeting she ask for prayer for her family to be saved. A few months later her mother as well as her brother and sister went to church and received salvation from our Lord Jesus Christ. Until now they serve the Lord and Lolita trained Hazel to do the praise and worship.
Thanks to our heavenly Father because until now He continue to perform His promises to this girl. Because she give her life to our Lord Jesus Christ and believed on Him that He is her Saviour, a Father, Helper and a Provider.

PERSONAL NOTE FROM HARRELL

Praise Jesus! Lolita and I are coming to the U.S.A.! Please be in Prayer!
1. For places to share and give people the opportunity to be partakers of the abundant fruit of the Harvest of Souls our Father has drawn to Himself, and to be partakers of the great amount of treasures stored in heaven He has giving in Palawan. We know our Father will open hearts and doors for those He wants to have this blessing.
2. We desire a place to live while we search for a place for Lolita to call her home in the U.S. We are not sure yet what our Lord’s will is in this circumstance or where it will be.
Seek and you shall find! We have always lived by faith and trust our Lord for His perfect provision! maybe pastoral,maybe house sitter,maybe etc etc,, So Please Pray.

One thing for sure we want PLAN G==== GODS PLAN !
We hope to rest for a week or two then start visiting everyone. We will be in the U.S.A, for most of this year resting and seeing, hopefully, every one of you personally.

Praise Jesus!

The Christmas gifts for the children arrived and have been distributed. What a blessing they were. Every child in our Barrio was able to receive a gift; from newborn babies through 6th grade. We had the gift giving for the entire Barrio on a Sunday right after our church service. We invited everyone of the community to attend church and many did just that. We pray that they will continue coming. Those attending for the first time were amazed how Lolita’s kids were singing and praising and how Pastor Mark’s youth helped in the service: Amazed at how much joy our members had and how much love they felt! They were deeply touched by the message Pastor Mark andmyself gave from our Heavenly Father! Following the service they were again amazed, as Lolita’s kids became servants giving their children the gifts that our Lord led so many of you in the U.S. to send! They were truly touched at seeing how Lolita’s kids have changed this year from disobedient kids to joyful obedient, well-mannered children. Praise Jesus! In addition we also had gift giving in many other churches in the surrounding areas. What a blessing to have an opportunity to share with families the Gospel of Jesus Christ! So many of the kids had no gift this Christmas till our Lord blessed them with your love gifts! So many people thanking Our Father for you! You have an abundant treasure in heaven and much fruit of the Harvest! We praise Jesus, thanking our Father along with hundreds of kids and parents for each of you!

REFUGE HOUSE

Wow! We were busy the month of December. Besides getting gifts ready for distribution, we had the Pastors Meeting, and other activities. Then the Youth Camp started Christmas day for several days. It was great. I am not sure how many youth were here, but a bunch! At night, for sleeping, they were packed in the two dormitories side by side, the 1st floor of the Refuge House, where we have church, side by side along with every other available space including tents that were put up. Packed like sardines in a can! They even packed the cottage by the sea using tarpaulins to make a wall. The third day a big rain storm/squall blew in from the sea: high wind and heavy rain with several tents blowing down. Many got wet along with their belongings. But the youth just continued to Praise Jesus and played in the rain. By midnight the storm passed and the next day was beautiful! It was a blessed time this month as many souls were saved during all the activities here at the Refuge DISCIPLESHIP AND FEEDINGS After a two week break, we start back our feeding program in schools. With holidays over we will get back to our normal busy week. We continue to marvel at the impact this Discipleship Feeding Program is having on the children. They are healthier, better disciplined and attentive! Thank You Jesus!

PRAYER REQUEST

We encourage you to join with us in three areas of prayer. First, join with us in prayer for the continued great harvest of souls taking place on Palawan: that lives will be transformed by the wonderful Grace of our loving God. Secondly, Pastor Mark is able to see the value of a drum set for our praise and worship time and desires prayer that our Lord will provide. Here they cost from $400 to $1000 depending on quality. Please pray with us for this or perhaps maybe a church or individual might have a set they are not using and would consider sending here. Thirdly, we are now able to see the great stirring our Lord is bringing about for the use of our Refuge facilities to His Glory. So many are desiring to have a gathering place for teaching, training, guiding those here on Palawan Island: a place where they Worship, Praise and Glorify our Lord. Join with us as we pray that our Lord will bring the provisions to build two more dormitories.

PERSONAL NOTE

As I reflect back on this season of giving gifts to the children of Palawan it is most difficult to express in words what my heart has experienced: to see a person sometimes instantly touched by Holy Spirit in a deep and personal way, to see a parent recognize the love of our Heavenly Father by way of a gift to their child, to see a child’s look of astonishment, shyness, eyes wide in surprise and sparkling; joyfulness, happiness, thankfulness. The sounds of these kids bring tears of pure joy to my eyes as so many excited happy sounds come from them! And I guess the greatest sound is when one tells me in such a sweet shy voice,”Thank You Pastor Harrell”, as a little girl squeezes a doll or a young boy pushes a toy truck! Always my reply is “your welcome, but thank our Lord Jesus Christ and thank our Father in Heaven for our wonderful support team in the U.S.” So with hundreds and hundreds of precious kids along with their parents we cry to our Father Thank You for You of the U.S.

Lolita and I were hoping to come to the U.S. this month, but due to certain circumstances it maybe as long as May before we come. Lolita and I love you all, so much more than words can say and we miss you a whole bunch! So join with us in praying that our return will be sooner rather than later. Hope you had a joyous Christmas and we say have a prosperous and joyful New Year. With the difficult economic condition of our world today it is so helpful to remember we are in our Father’s economy not the worlds!
