Wow! Wow! Wow! What a Blessed month. Mrs. Lydia and Mrs. Wanda are back in the USA and Mrs. Joyce is here.

Mrs. Lydia and Mrs. Wanda were such a great blessing. Our Lord Jesus used them in great and mighty ways. These two sisters stepped out in faith and our Father blessed it mightily using them to share. Reconciliation through the blood of Jesus back to our Father in Heaven: Teaching about our Lord Jesus and His ways; challenging old and young to go hard after Jesus; encouraging everyone to stay strong in the faith; going to believers and unbelievers' homes and just praying for their needs and desires, and sharing truths of the word of God; doing warfare in the area around the Refuge House praying for a mighty move of Holy Spirit in the area. They were just sowing the love and compassion of our Lord Jesus to the children, youth and adults in great ways.

These two sisters, themselves, are different parts of the body but work together is such beautiful unity in the Spirit with all of the Refuge Team.

Many many many people were drawn to our Father: Lots of treasures in heaven. There was much joyful laughter and tears of joy during their time here!

As they left to go home Mrs. Joyce came and picked up right where they left off. More on this next month.

FEEDING KIDS

Praise Jesus! You and I are now feeding over 19,000 meals a month to children who desperately need the vitamins and minerals that are in the food!

I praise Jesus and thank our Father for providing the food for these beautiful kids through Brother Jeff in Minnesota, and Sister Marcia at Bread of Mighty Food Bank. And for YOU that provide the monetary resources so we can ship and distribute the food to the kids here on Palawan that have such great need. When I see a malnourished child eating the food, tears roll down my face as I Praise and thank our Lord Jesus for you!

DORMITORIES

Praise Jesus we are approximately half way through with adding the second floor to our first dormitory. Please continue to pray for provisions.

MATS FOR CHILDREN

Glory to God we have sleeping mats for all the children here and they are excited to get into the upstairs dormitory!

SCHOOL SPONSORS

Again please be patient with me on getting a video of your child. All of November we have had visitors and very busy outreaching. Lord willing I hope to send videos in first or second week of December. All the children are doing well and are so thankful for your love expressed in sponsoring them. You are a tremendous blessing to those kids.

JESUS BIRTHDAY

As we enter into December celebrating our Lord's Birthday, please remember it's not about a tree with presents under it: But rather, the promise of our Father fulfilled by sending a Savior, His Son, into the world. Our Father has expressed His great love for you by giving His Son, Immanuel, "God with us". As you gather with friends and family remind them of our Father's love.

Wow, what a great blessed month. Lolita and I told no one here we were coming and when we arrived the looks on their faces was so funny! They looked at us like they were seeing Holy Ghosts! We hit the ground running and are very busy!

REFUGE HOUSE SPONSORED KIDS

Right now we have 23 sponsored kids full time staying at the Refuge. That number increases to 30 - 35 on weekends. With this expanded ministry it brings good challenges to overcome.

1. 1. Dormitories - The first will be on south side of property. When we built our building, the main structures were built to hold two stories. We will remove the roof off the south side structures and build a wooden upstairs dormitory, then put the roof back on top. This is approximately 36' long and 12' wide with a small deck approximately 10 x 12 at one end and walkway along front, stairs and railings. The approximate cost of this will be $5000.00 for complete labor and materials.

I praise Jesus for our Fathers' wisdom to do this rather than build another concrete structure that would cost between $15,000 to $20,000 for the same size. We will completely build this dormitory before starting on the second one.

1. 2. Wash Area - I tell you when they wash clothes, it is a major event with so many kids and that's not even talking about hanging them out to dry. The whole property looks like a laundromat with clothes hanging everywhere.

Total cost of a wash area is approximately $400.00 for cement, rock wire, roofing and plumbing drain field. We have already mixed the cement and poured the floor. If you watched our first "Coffee Break" video, that was the wash area floor!

1. 3. Roof Over Sink and Bathrooms - This is to keep the rain off them when they go to the bathroom. It is approximately 25' long, 10' wide and approximate cost if $325 to $350 for wood for frame, roofing and labor.

1. 4. Bedding for Kids - Because of our space situation, we do not want to build beds at this time. After upstairs dormitories are built, then we will work on beds. Our buildings are used for Sunday School, food storage, sleeping and many other things. We are praying for mats for them to sleep on that fold up and can be stored to make the room space available. Each mat is $20 - $22, which would be $460 as of this writing, for the full-time kids.

Everyone please be in prayer for our Fathers' provision for these desires.

REFUGE HOUSE OTHER MINISTRIES

All other ministries are doing great. Sunday service, Wednesday prayer warriors, Friday prayer and youth night, Saturday children's bible study, cottage prayer and prayer walks. All are doing great!
As our Lord has increased us we are having to adjust our ministry team members schedules and are adding a couple of full-time team members. Praise Jesus!

SCHOOL DISCIPLESHIP & FEEDING

This ministry continues to be a huge blessing. It also is doing great and we also have to adjust schedules with this.

MISSION TEAMS

As I write this newsletter, Vision for Christ, Ron and Dolly White, are arriving to give glasses. I will update you on that through video and next month's newsletter.
Also in November, Lydia Hoffman and Wanda Coley and Joyce Igo of Joyce Igo Music Ministry will be here to evangelize and minister at separate times.

PERSONAL NOTE

Everyone please remember that I do not have internet access but maybe one day a week. The videos come from our ministry team worker, Shawn, who lives in Puerto and has internet access everyday. I hope you enjoy the updates from her.

I want to share with you just how great a work that you and I and everyone involved in this ministry are doing for our Lord Jesus! This week I attended a cottage prayer meeting, many people were there including five of our kids who stay full-time at the Refuge House. There were also many kids who do not stay at the Refuge. While we were praising, praying and sharing, our five kids were respectful, reverant and focused on praising and praying and listening as the word was shared. The other children were running around making noise, not paying attention. The difference was so great it was like a bright sunshiny day with no clouds and a dark cloudy night with no stars or moon. It was that big of a difference. I was amazed and blessed to see how our Lord is transforming these kids into His image.

Praise Jesus!

Grace be unto you and peace from God the Father of our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This is a great and exciting time that we are in at the Refuge House!
Just to refresh everyone, approximately eighteen years ago our Lord gave me a vision of a house on the sea with children all around it; a refuge home for children: a safe loving place where Jesus was Lord and being 1st in everything.
After eleven years of looking for this vision, while sharing the gospel of Jesus in many different countries, I had just about given up. I had all but forgotten Habakkuk 2: 3, " Tho the vision tarries wait expectantly on it for it will surely come to pass."
I was on the island of Grenada when our Lord spoke to me to go back to the Philippines. It was time to build the "Refuge".
He directed us to a very remote location that at the time had no electricity or running water. In my mind I thought it was not a good place (no electricity). But I was obedient; purchased the land and started clearing it (by hand).
One day while clearing the land, I was just standing there looking up, thanking Him for the land. After all those years of waiting, boy was I thanking Him!
A dove flew over and I found myself on the ground and our Lord telling me my vision was too small that the Refuge was a place for His children from oldest to youngest and He would bring it to be "A Praise in the earth to Him"!
We started sowing the seeds of His word and doing things He tells us to do while also building the Refuge House: Children's bible study, discipling in elementary schools was the start.
As time went on our Father had us start a Sunday Service, and Prayer meeting. Then we had Youth Camps, Pastor Seminars, men's and women's meetings, God Encounter weekends and much more.
It was February 2014 He spoke to me to start children school sponsors. Again I was obedient even though I knew we still had construction to do.
As Lolita and I prepare to return there are over twenty children who are staying at the Refuge House. We will update exactly how many later.
Our Precious Lord Jesus had brought the original vision to pass while in the process enlarged the vision.
Brothers and Sisters I want you to be encouraged: our Father is Faithful. If He has given you a vision and it seems far away; fear not, He will complete it!
Even with my mistakes and sometimes not really sure if it would happen Our Father was Faithful!

Philippians 1: 6 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ".

Thessalonians 5: 24 "Faithful is he that calleth you who will also do it."

He is faithful to complete the work He has started in all of us: to conform us day by day more and more to the image of our Lord Jesus. He is faithful to take our broken hearts, broken lives, and broken dreams and turn it all around for good.

Jeremiah 29: 11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

Brothers and Sisters He Loves You!

We are so excited to get back not only to evangelize the tribes, markets, and schools; Not only to disciple teach and feed kids in Elementary schools; Not only for cottage prayer meetings; Not only for the Christmas gift giving, but also to get back to face the good challenges remaining of the original vision. Challenges before us include bedding for the children, roof over the bathrooms, storage shelves for clothes to mention a few along with building a new dorm. Next month I will give updates on all ministries.

PRAYER REQUEST

Please be in prayer for His wisdom to be available for this Great New Season. Please be in prayer agreement with us on Acts 4: 29-30 Please be in prayer for monthly provisions -- This is good ground for a 100 fold return.

PERSONAL NOTE

I praise Jesus for you. Thanking Him for all you do for building Our Lord's Kingdom! I pray the promises of Psalms 41: 1-3 are manifested in your life and that you are rewarded with an abundance of fruit to your account and treasures stored in Heaven. I am humbled and in awe of our Fathers work in Palawan, knowing that with you and I working together we shall do mighty things for His Kingdom.

Lolita and I are excited and preparing for our return to the Philippines! Following Lolita's dream of harvesting corn we are expecting a great Harvest of souls upon our return.

DISCIPLESHIP & FEEDING

Our Lord Jesus continues to do a great work in the schools. Pastor Mark reported that 15 teachers in the different schools have asked for bibles. Praise Jesus!
These teachers are hearing the teaching being presented to the kids and our Lord has placed a hunger in their heart to learn more!
What a great testimony: that He is doing a great work not only in the children, but in the teachers as well. Praise Him, Praise Him!
We sent a prayer request out by e-mail and He answered it! We have the bibles. Glory to our Father thank you Lord Jesus!

CHRISTMAS GIFTS

We praise our Lord Jesus and thank Him for all of you! What a blessing you are!

Trucks, dolls, balls, jump ropes, stuffed animals, etc., along with soap, tooth paste, tooth brushes plus crayons, pencils, paper and even dresses, shorts, skirts, t-shirts and bicycles!

Ephesians 3:20 "Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us."

Praise Jesus His power is working in you! This will be a great time of evangelizing as we share the gifts and love you have sent and share about Our Fathers love and His gift of Reconciliation for each of them!

Please pray for salvation as we share the love of Jesus through the gifts of love you have sent !

REFUGE HOUSE

To our Father be all the glory, honor and praise ! The month of July our Lord directed us to have a Youth Night.

Pastor Mark reported about fifty youth came seeking the Lord! During the evening and night they were praising Jesus; hearing testimonies of what a loving Father we have; were taught about our Lord's instructions; encouraged and challenged!

Our Father is so good: He drew 15 of the youth to Himself. A fresh reminder of our Lord's words from John 6:44, " No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day".

Praise Him! Praise Him! He drew 15 to repent from sin and receive Jesus! Please be in prayer for the new believers that they become rooted and grounded in the word of our Father.

DISCIPLESHIP & FEEDING

Praise Jesus, Our Father continues to do amazing things with the children in the schools. He continues to change lives in great ways.

This month one teacher in charge ( much like a principal here ) called Pastor Mark and asked if he would come counsel seven boys in her school.

These boys were very disruptive of class and school events. Pastor Mark has started counseling with them. He is currently working with them sharing Jesus and His love.

Please be in prayer for these young boys to be freed from the bondage of the enemy of their souls and to repent and receive Jesus!

What a great Praise to realize more and more that teachers understand Jesus is the only answer for their schools and students!

As the Discipling and Teaching of Jesus in the schools of Palawan continue to expand , great and wonderful change comes to schools and the surrounding areas. Young lives are greatly impacted by the word of our Father, Jesus!

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Our Lord started our Christmas in July with a great Praise! We are collecting gifts to give to the children this year for Christmas.

We still have August and part of September to gather gifts to send. We will pack and ship everything together by middle of September. After that anything to be shipped you will have to contact Cathy Helton (352) 472-2418.

Also, a dear sister reminded me that this is the time to gather school supplies for next year when we distribute in May 2015. I was told the prices are very low in the stores right now.

Tears are in my eyes as I think about how excited and thankful the kids will be this Christmas because of the love of Jesus in you. God Bless You!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL CHILDREN SCHOOL SPONSORS

It is very important that I have a correct e-mail address before Lolita and I leave in September. I will be sending an e-mail to each address I have and I desire you please reply to it so we know it's a good address.

You will be updated on your child through your e-mail address. Also we desire a photo of you and family with your names, as this gives your child a face to go with your name when they pray for you.

He will bless him (you) in the land and not surrender him (you) to the desire of his (your) foes or enemies.

The Lord will sustain him (you) on his (your) sickbed and restore him (you) from his (your) bed of illness.

These are the promises our Father gives for helping the least of these little ones who cannot help themselves

These promises are yes and amen in Jesus!

DISCIPLESHIP AND FEEDING PROGRAMS

Thank you Father for open doors! We have started Discipling and Feeding in two new schools already this month.

Our teams are now busy teaching the things Jesus taught us, and feeding the malnourished children with food that has the vitamins and minerals they need.

We sent a shipment of food at the end of June which cost a little over $1,200 and we have another much larger shipment to send in a few months that will cost approximately $3,200 in shipping expenses. So please be in prayer for provisions for this.

All the children should be dewormed this month so they get maximum benefit of the vitamins and minerals in the mana packs.

We are so humbled and thankful to be able to go to these schools and teach Jesus and feed these children. Thank you, Jesus for allowing us to be a part of this.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

It's that great time to get girls and boys a Christmas gift for this December.

Lolita and I will be returning to Palawan in September so we would like to ship as many as possible by the start of the second week of September, or by the 15th of September:
Toys for Elementary age children, dolls, trucks, games, stuffed animals and others.

One church in Florida is sending mountain bikes for the kids; we've already shipped nine. So if you have a bicycle in top notch condition or a new one, we will ship it to a child for Christmas (cost to ship is $50.00 each).

These children will never have a chance to receive a bike unless you help. Many of the children have never received a gift. Remember this is a great time of sharing Jesus to the entire family, who are so touched by someone giving their child a gift.

You may call me prior to September at (352) 275-9753. After we leave in September, gifts will still be sent by Cathy Helton and you may call her to coordinate a pick-up of gifts. Her phone number is (352)472-2418.

In the event you do not want to buy the gifts yourself you can make a monetary gift and we will purchase a gift in the Philippines.

An early Blessed Jesus Birthday and Thank You to all of you!

SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP

As of now we have ten children sponsored for schooling. Eight of the ten children are living full time at our Refuge House which means they receive total care of food, clothes, and housing by way of your sponsorship and our general ministry fund.

We give the parents of the children the option of their child staying at The Refuge House or not. Our general monthly support from you handles the added cost apart from their schooling. There are still many children who are faithfully attending church who desire a sponsor. Fifty dollars per month or $600.00 per year will assure a child has lunch, snacks and everything they need for school including transportation.

The Bible says, "He is a rewarder for those who diligently seek Him" and these children have been diligent even in persecution!

So please continue to pray! God Bless and Thank You.

PERSONAL NOTE

At the end of June, Lolita had a dream of people harvesting a lot of corn, a couple of weeks before that, I had an excitement in my spirit about "Souls".

Very similar to last year when over 13,000 repented to our Father and received the free gift of salvation. We are excited about this fall and next year!

Also Lolita and I are, after many years, are taking a two day vacation. We are going down south and go fishing off a pier and staying in a hotel. Praise Jesus!

Glory to God! We are all excited about the coming months as school starts this month of June! Once again our Lord is providing our ministry with the opportunity to impact the lives of so many children with both spiritual and physical food.

DISCIPLESHIP AND FEEDING PROGRAMS

We are praising Jesus for the last two months for his training for new workers for the schools.

Every new worker has been well trained and our older workers have been refreshed and learned some new ways to share and teach the ways of Jesus.

We are excited our Lord will allow us to increase to more schools this year! With this increase of schools our meals for the malnourished children will also increase from our current 11,888 meals a month!

Praise Jesus! Thousands of children crying thank you to our Father for you! Treasures in Heaven! Brothers and Sisters this is an excellent ground to sow seed.

"He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from God."

One of our ministry workers, Bong has married a lovely lady named Lalay. Bong went to his home Island for a couple of months to ask Lalay to marry, and the Lord blessed him with a beautiful wife. Lalay was active in her church and we are excited as she will join our Refuge House Team!

This past month we held a women's meeting where many women were encouraged, challenged, and blessed." A Great Time in the Lord."

SCHOOL SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION

Our annual distribution of school supplies was carried out this month providing the very needy children with the materials for schooling. Without your help many would not be able to attend school. Thank You!

CHRISTMAS BLESSING BAGS

Glory to God it's time to start collecting dolls, trucks, stuffed animals and other toys for boys and girls for this year's Christmas Blessing Bags. What a blessing it is to bring a smile and shout of joy from a child receiving a Blessing Bag from you! Not to mention, a great opportunity for our ministry to share Jesus with the whole family.

REFUGE HOUSE

Pastor Mark will continue this month with "In Depth Training" for new laborers in the Discipling and Teaching Ministry for the Elementary Schools.

What a blessing our precious Lord Jesus has given you and me to be able to go into schools and make disciples for Jesus! And more blessings for treasures stored in heaven by feeding the hungry children with "Manna Paks" containing all the vitamins and minerals they need to grow!

What you are doing for these children in Jesus name "counts". Ninety percent of the children in these schools do not attend a church, so the only teaching and discipleship of Jesus is what our Lord allows you and me to do. This is good soil to sow into for a 100 fold harvest and you will be richly rewarded by our wonderful Lord Jesus.

We are preparing an increase of the almost 12,000 monthly meals currently provided and encourage you to continue in prayer for an increase in provisions to meet this great work of our Lord. Teachers at other schools, are asking us all the time to please come to their schools. They have heard from teachers at the schools we are discipling of the positive impact teaching Jesus has been on their students! And they want it at their schools! I tell them to simply pray! Hallelujah!

Our Father's word says "we will not lack in doing any good thing" and we trust in His word!

SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP

We have many children, who regularly attend our fellowship at the Refuge, desiring help for their schooling and we are praying for school sponsors for them. Many families are in survival mode and without a sponsor many children could end up working in the field, fishing or hunting in the forest for food, to assist their families. A sponsorship will give them the opportunity to have a better life through education.

When our Lord Jesus spoke to me about building "His Refuge", He told me, "you never want another child to go through what your wife went through".

Some of you know Lolita's powerful testimony. After her Dad and brothers were killed in a war in the mountains, she had to work in fields at the age of 8 to get food for her Mom and sisters.

In her testimony she speaks of how hard it was to breath, because of the horrible heat. Then sometimes it rained and she would be shivering with cold. She tells about her fingers hurting so bad that she worked crying and how she would be stiff with pain in her tiny body all for about 25 to 50 cents per day.

When our Lord Jesus told me to build the Refuge, I realized just how great His love is for these children, remembering what happened to dear sweet Lolita! So please pray for sponsors!

GREAT TESTIMONY: PERSONAL NOTE

Last November a young man was seeking the Lord at the Refuge. In December his best friend (during his school days) was killed by someone hitting him in the head with a rock. I mentioned to him that if he had not been seeking the Lord he may have been with his friend and could also have been killed.

During the process of viewing his dead friend at the parents' home, he was influenced to get drunk. I met with him afterwards and explained that we wanted him to come to church, bible study, etc. but would not allow him to be in a ministry position until a period of time for repentance and visible fruit.

Well the young man left and went to a smaller island off the coast of Palawan. The island is 95% Muslim and he has relatives on the island who are Muslim . They are fishermen who go out fishing in their boats on five to seven days a trip.

About a week ago he showed up at the Refuge House all excited about a dream he had while on the island. He dreamed the Lord had picked him up and he could see himself in flames of torment. The Lord turned him and he could see his mother, brothers and sisters dancing with joy on streets of gold. He turned back to look at himself and could feel the flames he saw himself in. He was trying to get to his mother and brothers, sisters but could not. He awoke with a Holy fear; telling all his muslim relatives on the island of the dream. He left the island and came back to his home telling everyone in our area about the vision. He is now back in church again!

What is the message I received from this young man's dream and experience? Last year we had planned on going to this island to evangelize. The muslin leader of the island had assured us no one would harm us but could not provide that assurance that anyone would listen.

During that year, twice we had planned to go but were stopped from going. I think that with this young man's dream or vision and telling those on the island about it, that our Father is preparing them for us to bring them JESUS, later this year. Pray for souls!

Please pray Acts 4:29.30 over us and Please pray our Father increases our provisions.

Praise Jesus!

This month of March many pastors came to The Refuge and had a great time of encouraging each other and praying for each other. How good it is when pastors can come together in unity to increase Our Fathers Kingdom here on earth.

Also this month members of "Jesus is Lord" church came for a God Encounter Weekend! Many of their members were touched by Our Lord's presence during this time and while leaving everyone was talking about how great Holy Spirit presence was felt.

In addition a pastor from "Faith and Hope" church came to talk with Pastor Mark on scheduling a time for their church to come to the Refuge.

Our Refuge Team continues to do a great job of ministering to the Body of Christ in servant hood at these outings. Our Lord told us years ago when we started clearing property that He would make it "The Refuge", "A praise in the earth to Him" and He has done that very thing. For us of "I Am Born Again Ministries" a promise fulfilled.

DISCIPLESHIP & FEEDING

During the month of April and May we have intense training for several Brothers and Sisters in our discipleship ministry in the elementary schools. We are doing this in faith that our discipleship in schools will increase and the laborers will be ready to go and teach the ways of our Lord Jesus!

Our Lord says we will not lack in doing any good thing and this is a good thing. This is good ground to sow for a hundred fold Harvest!

We are praying for school sponsorship for all of our children who attend church regularly. Please be in prayer for these children to receive sponsorship. These children come from extremely poor families needing financial help for their schooling.

MISSION TRIPS

We are scheduling ministry teams for the remainder of this year and the early part of next year. To use military terminology, if you want to be boots on the ground in the Philippines give me a call. It excites us to be able to provide those mission experiences for fellow believers.

One such team to visit us this past January was Buddy Roban and Mike Hosey from Florida. Last month we shared some thoughts of Buddy and here, this month, are the reflections of Mike about his and Buddy's trip.

A Message From the Philippines Mike Hosey

I am writing this edition of "reflections" on our last night in Tinagong Dagat, Palawan, Philippines. It is a beautiful place. We will miss it. And we will never forget the friends we have made here. Tomorrow we ride to Puerto Princesa, and the next day we catch our first plane home.

Buddy and I have seen and done many things in our short time here. One thing I am learning is that every experience of the third world is a bit different from another. But there are a few things that all places in the third world share with all places in the developed world. People need Jesus in all those places.

So because of that, we've preached the gospel; warned people of the consequences of sin; helped a missionary improve his reach and power; encouraged people to evangelize; and we've prayed for people. We've prayed for the sick and for the lost. In one of our outreaches, we personally prayed for individual people, one after another, for half of an hour or more. The look of need and desperation in the eyes of some of them was something I cannot describe adequately with words. You just have to see it.

But as I write this, I am most moved by the teamwork involved to bring the gospel to these people. Funding must flow in from givers all around the world. If those people don't give, then the team here in Palawan cannot do their job as they now do. The individuals on the team here must be committed to each of their jobs. The cooks that prepare the food for the hungry at the outreaches must volunteer their time, the praise and worship team must practice and volunteer their time to praise the name of Jesus, the driver must drive the bus, the people who pick up and clean up, must pick up and clean up. If any of these team members fail in their job, the whole job can potentially fail.

Finally, I've noticed the joy in the faces of missionaries and native peoples when someone outside their country comes to visit and help them with their work. But one thing we can do when we go is offer them a kind of encouragement that they just can't get any other way. And encouraging one another is an integral part of teamwork.

Personal Note

Brothers and Sisters, Mike is so right it takes all of us working together to build Our Lord's Kingdom and move it forward here on earth. Not all are hands, not all are feet, not all are eyes, not all are ears so we really need each other. One plants, another waters, but God our Father gives the increases.

Thank you for being part of this soul winning treasure storing in heaven ministry.

Again This Is Good Ground for a Hundred Fold Harvest.

Praise Jesus!

Another blessed month doing our Lords work!

VISION FOR CHRIST MINISTRIES

The people of Palawan Philippines were richly blessed by the welcome visit of Ron and Dolly White and Mickey Wescoat with Vision for Christ Ministries. During their short time here approximately 4,200 pairs of eye glasses were given to people of all ages who could not afford them.

Ron, Dolly, Mickey plus our volunteers were busy as they checked eyes and gave the glasses to everyone. Ron and Dolly worked with many students that could not see at a distance, while Mickey worked with those who had trouble seeing close up.

It was a wonderful time where so many smiles of gratitude and thankfulness were seen everywhere. Lolita was very good at getting people help as they came to be checked. By the time Ron left you would think Lolita was an Optician. Even after Ron, Dolly and Mickey left she had kids gathered up checking their eyes with the equipment and glasses Ron left with her.

DISCIPLESHIP & FEEDING MINISTRY

Praise Jesus! With the addition of the two motorcycles and the expansion of our Discipleship team, you are receiving a great abundance of treasures in heaven.

We are now discipling and feeding in nine elementary schools, numerous churches and several remote areas. As of now we are reaching many with discipling and providing over 10,000 meals a month to children who desperately need the vitamins and minerals that are in the Manna Pak we cook.

It is proven in the schools that when the teachers and parents are supportive of teaching Jesus in the schools that the attitude of the student do a wonderful turn for the better: Respectful, obedient, more considerate and caring which means they are better children and students.

I shout out a Great Shout of Praise to our Father with thankfulness to Him for You! Not only myself but thousands of kids continually Praise Jesus for you!

Please be in prayer for continual provisions for this tremendous blessing!

I Am Born again Ministries has stepped out in faith and ordered another shipment of Manna Paks for the children here. The Manna Paks are provided to our ministry at no cost. Our only expense is the $ 1,800 shipping cost from Minnesota to Palawan. Our faith will not falter, that our Lord will provide the funding for the feeding of nutritious meals to the children.

SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP

Apparently I misunderstood Lolita, Pastor Mark and Teresa message last month. Charlene needs a sponsor. Praise Jesus Lauren already has a sponsor. We have many other children whose parents have asked if we could help with their school sponsorship. I have told them to Pray! Lolita has taken their pictures and we will be sending them to the US. If you know of someone who would like to sponsor a child let us know. E-mail pastorhemingway@yahoo.com for information. Sponsorship is $50 a month or $600 per year. Maybe two people together for $25 each month or $300 per year. We want to say GOD BLESS to the sponsors of the other kids and thank you!

MISSION TEAMS

Not only have you an abundance of treasures in heaven but a multitude of fruit of the harvest to your account. Since November 2013 well over 12,000 souls repented to our Father and came to the knowledge of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus. The past four months have been tremendous with many mission teams visiting us here in Palawan ready and prepared for true mission work. Buddy Roban and Mike Hosey were here with us and the following are some thoughts of Buddy Roban.

In early January for a few weeks, Mike Hosey and I were able to travel to Palawan, The Philippines. We got to see God do great things with many souls added to the Kingdom, as well as seeing food provided for many. Harrell told me over the summer that God had told him to pray for souls this year. God is doing it! He just calls us to be faithful, not successful. The results and the Glory are His alone.
Harrell and Lolita (with their team) are being used by God to build the refuge house and compound. Harrell demonstrates a humble spirit as he is open to suggestions to improve the ministry enabling more US teams to come. He has a tremendous vision to see the whole compound completed allowing even more ministry opportunities. They expect to see many more team members join them and will expand their ministry.
I got to see, hear, taste, smell, and touch the life that Harrell and Lolita live and would like to personally say thank you for what you (Harrell, Lolita, and all supporters) have let God use you to do. I look forward to what will be done in the years to come in The Philippines.

Another great month in Jesus! Praise Him! Praise Him!

MORE MISSION TEAMS

Buddy Roban and Mike Hosey of Florida were here and we had a great time sharing and preaching Jesus in many places.

With Buddy’s effective dress of first century times along with visual demonstrations of fire, yo-yo, charts, blow up globes, and other visuals, and Mike’s “pastors heart” working in tandem with each other, they did a powerful job of sharing the image that through Jesus we can have reconciliation with our Holy Father.

Just like Len, Ben and Joyce back in November they got soaked in the rain while ministering. They were slipping and sliding in the mud: it rained everywhere they went, but on they went. As well, they had the privilege of eating some food that was new for them.

At one out reach it seemed that our Lord wanted to heal everyone. Right after the invocation a woman came to me seeking prayer for healing. I had Pastor Mark, Buddy and Mike pray with her. As they were praying, people started lining up for healing.

As the people kept coming, we had several of Refuge Team praying. Many healings, Praise His Name! He Is Our Healer! All in all over 3,200 people confessed Jesus and repented as our Lord Jesus used Buddy and Mike and Refuge Team to speak His word and draw people to Himself.

As always pastor Mark did an incredible job as interpreter and the Refuge team was awesome being servants to Buddy and Mike and the people!

I want to say God Bless you for prayers that souls be saved. Our Lord heard your prayers and responded.

You and I have been truly blessed by our Father since Nov. 2013. As of this time well over 10,000 souls have been added to the Kingdom of Heaven and as fruit to your account. In addition, abundant treasures are now in heaven through the feeding poor hungry children. From those kids there is an abundance of thanksgiving and praises to our Father for you. Thank You!

MOTORCYCLES

Praise Jesus, we have two Hondo XR mountain bikes now making it much easier and efficient getting our Refuge Teams to the schools to disciple and teach Jesus coupled with providing a physically nutritious meal to these kids of such great need. Thank You and God Bless You!

DISCIPLESHIP AND FEEDING

Praise Jesus, we are now ministering in ten schools, several churches and day care centers.

I continue, and encourage you as well to join me in prayer for the provision to be able to minister in every school: Teaching about Jesus and feeding malnourished kids. The door is currently open for us to minister and evangelize in every school. Usually after one or two months of ministering in a school the parents and teachers notice a change in the behavior of most of the students. It is recognized and accepted here on Palawan that Jesus in the schools is a Great Thing! Please continue to pray for increase of provision for this.

CHILD SPONSORSHIP

We currently have three children needing sponsors at the Refuge: Two elementary school children, Jeremy and Loren, and one high school student, Charlene. Sponsorship is $50 a month, which includes their transportation to school, all school related needs projects, uniforms, fees, snacks and their room and board..(UPDATE-Charlene does NOT need sponsor)

These kids stay full time at the Refuge. Each has their own story of why they are here. Please be in prayer for these kids and their sponsorship.

Praise Jesus as I write this we are waiting for Brother Ron White and his wife Dolly and Ron’s assistant Brother Mickey Wescoat. They will be here on a medical mission trip, checking eyes and giving glasses to those in need who can’t afford them.

Our Refuge Team will come along beside this team and be evangelizing and sharing Jesus as people come to have their eyes checked. We will be sharing, preaching and handing out tracts plus showing a film that Buddy Roban gave us, while the kids wait their turn to have their eyes checked. Pray for souls to be saved.

PERSONAL NOTE

January 1st I walked across the room and my knee gave out. Lots of pain and I could not walk on it. Drove two hours to hospital to have an X-ray and was told said I needed an MRI. A flight to Manila was required for that. Buddy and Mike would arrive in Manila on the 4th. I called a surgeon in Manila and flew there on 2nd. They were unable to do the MRI, because of foreign metal in my body from a pre-Jesus injury. On the 3rd they scoped, exploratory surgery and repair. I went to a hotel and stayed in bed till the forth. Praise Jesus, the day after surgery I hobbled to meet Buddy & Mike. On the 5th we started outreaching! Thank you to those of you who got the message to pray (could not get message to everyone). Still a little sore but the knee is doing great. Our Precious Lord gave me the healing strength and courage to outreach 48 hours after surgery. Praise Jesus!

Praise Jesus!

It’s a New Year, closer to His return and closer to that day when we shall see Him again. Praise Him Praise Him Praise Him! We hope and pray you had a great Jesus birthday and you will have a Blessed and Prosperous New Year.

December flew by with so many activities. Our yearly thanksgiving celebration was a huge success as we were able to minister to many people. We had our yearly Christmas caroling ride on a 2 wheel cart pulled by a water buffalo and singing Joy to the World. We had so much fun, reminding me of when I was a kid caroling in a hay wagon.

Oh what a blessing you are, evidenced as we started giving the Christmas Blessing Bags to the children with presents provided by you. Our first giving was Christmas Eve to our children here in the Bario and continued through the remainder of December. We will be giving your gifts this month to some of the outlying tribes. So much joy and thanksgiving to our God for each of you as toys, shoes, clothes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, stuffed animals, dolls and so much more brought the love and compassion of Jesus from you: A great time of sharing the truth of the gospel.

It was a blessed time of sharing with children and parents the spirit of giving in you that comes from our Father and being able to relate this back to God’s love for each one of them giving His only son, Jesus, for them. We, here at the refuge, Praise Jesus and thank our Father for you. We pray the blessing He promises you in Psalm 41:1-3 will chase you down and overtake you in abundance: that He will pour them out upon you overflowing.

MORE MISSION TEAMS ON THEIR WAY

Praise Jesus, when you receive this please be praying for souls to be saved. Our dear brothers, Buddy Roban and Mike Hosey will be here this month for Gospel outreaches and we are praying for a big harvest. So please pray for souls and in agreement with Acts 4:29-30. In addition, the end of Jan. our dear brother Ron White, his beautiful wife, Dolly and another brother Mickey will be here for a mission helping poor children by testing and fitting them with eye glasses. Our ministry team will be busy ministering one on one as the children come for the eye exam. Your prayers are important as our team ministers.

DISCIPLESHIP AND FEEDING IN ELEMENTRY SCHOOLS

As school starts back from the holidays, we are expanding into more schools. Praise Jesus we have all but one of the motorcycles we currently need and are believing it is coming along with a truck in Jesus name.

With expansion of schools, we will add 2 people to our Refuge Ministry Team, allowing us to disciple children in all the new schools. We are believing and praising God for the provisions to our monthly ministry expenses.

We are truly Blessed to be able to go into schools and teach the ways of Jesus and physically feed the food packed with vitamins and minerals needed by the children. As mentioned in previous newsletters my heart is broken over the sight of the malnourished kids and I pray one day we have enough provisions to go into every school in Palawan.

DISASTER RELIEF

We are helping with relief from typhoon Yolanda with food, water, clothes, roof and other construction repair on a small island that was hit by the typhoon. The brothers and sisters are so thankful for the assistance in their great time of need. You are truly a blessing to them. Over 6000 were killed and still many missing. Please continue to pray for the families.

OUR SPECIAL VISITOR

We had a special treat the last two weeks of November with a visit from our dear sister, Joyce Igo and I am including her thoughts upon returning to the states.

I was privileged to work with I Am Born Again Ministries, doing a wonderful ministry for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The typhoon hit right before I arrived, and by God's grace, the worst of it missed their island. It was my first time to be in Asia, but I have found people to be people wherever I go, and all of them are in need of hearing the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I had worked in children's and youth ministries years ago when my husband and I pastored churches, but it had been awhile. Old habits die hard, and I found I still loved the children, and could relate to them. I will never forget those faces, and big brown eyes watching me as I shared Jesus Christ, and as I participated in the wonderful feeding ministry. I shall never forget the child that came with a peanut butter jar lid for his soup bowl. It was all he had.

I think I was able to go to eleven schools. I have lost count. In the Philippines you are able to go into the public schools and share the Word of God, and give an invitation to accept Christ. We went to indigenous villages and gave the Gospel to them, plus the church there at the Refuge on Sunday. We estimated that there were at least three thousand who accepted Christ. Numbers aren't as important as obedience to spread the Word around the World.

The team from the Refuge was awesome. I loved them all. They couldn't do enough for me, far more than I would have asked for. They are talented, anointed, and loving, the last two more important than the first.

Needless to say, I cannot wait to get back to the Philippines! I really believe I left part of my heart there!
