We Praise our Lord Jesus Christ, we are thankful to our Heavenly Father for your life for sharing your love and support to our wonderful youth here at Refugee House Church. The kids are so wonderful, ever since they are young here at Refuge House Church, they serve the Lord Jesus Christ. They listen and obey and study the Word of God, giving Praise in the presence of the Lord, even during their busy days in school they always give priority to every church and feeding activities.

Every year these kids grow up so fast and their faith in the Lord gets stronger and they use their talent to give glory to the Lord. As they grow they teach the younger children also, and they become a leader. We know that our Heavenly Father see all they do for our Lord Jesus Christ and when the time come’s they will received the harvest of what they do for the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

They are all so very thankful for every blessing they receive. They are so very thankful for all of YOU, that you shared your love, kindness, prayers and support. YOU have always been a big part of their lives, in every achievement and every success they experience.

The word thank you is NOT enough, for all the love and support you have done to build the Kingdom of God. Thank you for all the years you chose this ministry to be part of your lives. The Refuge House Church has raised and still raising warrior children in Jesus name. The word of God is the ultimate sword they use to fight their every battle.

While they are young, they are molded by the hands of our Heavenly Father through HIS Word. From all Your prayers, from words of encouragement, rivers of peace fill every one of their vessels that comes from our Lord Jesus Christ. And now they grow up, they fight their battles like a champion, cannot easily be moved and never give up their faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for all of your sustaining love, kindness, support especially for all of your continued prayers for us here in Refuge House Church in Palawan Philippines. Our God is our Great God, the Beginning and the End, our Great Doctor, Great Provider and full of Love that has no Boundaries and HIS Mercy endures forever in our lives and in Yours. Thank you and God Bless You all.

Every day in our lives our Heavenly Father continues directing our path straight because HIS Word says, Thy word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path. The Word of our Heavenly Father reminded us to always continue to trust in HIM. Thank you and God bless you and your family!!

PRAISE JESUS!

This month our Refuge House Team went to the village Kalinga. It is a small village. There is no church in the area and so after much prayer Pastor Frances and his wife Tata felt the Holy Spirit directing them to start Discipling at the village.

Our Refuge House Team went and did evangelistic Gospel outreach to the children and to parents there. Approximately 50 to 60 kids came to the children part of the Evangelism. As our Refuge House Team started teaching them action praise songs a storm moved in and everyone ran to a nearby unfinished home to get out of the rain. Praise Jesus, the owner allowed the team to go there and finish the outreach. The parents all ran to houses nearby so they could continue listening to the teachings of Jesus Christ to the kids. Hazel continued teaching them the Word of God and His great love for them by sending His precious son Jesus Christ to be the sacrifice to pay the price for their sins. Our Refuge House Team had different activities they used to help the kids understand how much the Lord loves them!! During the evangelism mom Virgie was cooking food for everyone to eat afterwards. The word of our Lord Jesus Christ was delivered to these wonderful children and their parents. Holy Spirit drew many to receive salvation on that day.

Pastor Frances and his wife Tata will continue doing the discipleship and teaching every Saturday in Kalinga. We will help them with feeding for the Kids after their discipleship and teaching. Please pray for our Lord to build His Church in this new area!

SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP

All the students are doing well - college, high school and elementary school. All sponsors should receive a letter from their prayer partners in December. We had hoped they would be in this month's newsletter but we were not able to get them in time.

PRAYER REQUEST

Refuge House Church received some minor damage from a storm in October. The upstairs boys dormitory had some wind damage to the plywood on the back wall. It already was weak from the last eight years of rain and wind hitting it. We are going to replace the whole back wall with new plywood. We will need eight pieces of 1/4 inch marine plywood, some wood preservative, nails and yellow paint to repair it. Also the cost of labor. Hopefully we will not need to replace any of the wood frame. We are checking on prices now so we do not know the cost of this at this time. Please Pray!

PRAISE JESUS!

Beloved, please be in prayer for the families who lost loved ones in the hurricane!

GOSPEL OUTREACH

Beloved, our Refuge House Team was blessed to go to Barangy Antipuluan to do a Gospel Outreach and feed the children. We were blessed to help Pastor Tyron and his wife who pastor a little wooden church and feed 30 to 50 kids every Sunday. Some of our Refuge House Team taught the children action praise songs to our Lord Jesus! Some taught a praise dance to our Lord Jesus also.

Some of the other Refuge House Team did a drama presentation of the Parable of the Good Samaritan found in Luke 10. It was so good, and I laughed when the Good Samaritan put him on “his own animal” to carry him to the inn. (You can watch the video below.) Hazel shared with the children, taught them the lesson in the drama, and encouraged the children to be available to offer help even if you don't know the person.

Praise Jesus, this was our first outreach cooking and serving with the lentils that just arrived. The lentils were cooked with rice. It was very delicious, and the parents were so thankful! The parents cannot afford to buy meat or food that has a source of protein. The lentils are a great source of protein. It is complete, and it is delicious. Our Refuge House Team left lentils with Pastor Tyron to feed the kids there on Sundays. Many responded to the drawing of Holy Spirit both kids and adults!! PRAISE JESUS!!

This month we continue our weekly activity, especially the feeding of children. We are very thankful for the blessings to receive the boxes of lentils to use for feeding the wonderful kids here in Palawan Philippines. We are thankful to our Heavenly Father for each of you who provide, prepare, and support financially to send this delicious and nutritious meal.

We are praising Jesus for your life. Thank you so much for being with us in one goal to have compassion for all of the children, to reach them with this feeding and to reach all the lost for the Lord Jesus. Thank you and God bless you!!

PRAYER REQUEST

Our yellow school bus needs some repairs and a battery. It will cost approxrimately $290.00. Please be in prayer!

PRAISE JESUS!

Wow, this has been one busy month!! We have been packing food for the next year for the Refuge House Team to go and preach the Gospel and feed the precious kids on outreaches. We have most of the food shipped now. We have one more load to ship. The total cost of shipping food will be $5,696.00 when we ship the last load of food. Please keep praying! The first shipment of food has already arrived at the Refuge House Church.

We are now packing Christmas gifts! I am not sure what the cost will be until everyone gives what they want to send. Let us know what you have to send so we can arrange to pick up! You can reach me at 352-440-9067.

Also we helped with a food distribution to help needy families here in the USA. Y’all know how much I enjoyed that!! You know Beloved, all of us are so blessed to be allowed to help people here in the USA and also in the Philippines. THANK YOU JESUS!!

At Refuge House Church, we had our Lord Jesus’s Day Camp for Boys and Girls this month. It was a wonderful time in the Lord, singing praises, teaching about Jesus, lots of fun activities, eating and just having a great time of fellowship before the start of school. Approximately 120 kids and adults were there. Teresa shared that they had a wonderful blessed time!!

School has started in person. They are splitting classes. Half go in the morning and half go in the afternoon. Of the kids who regularly come to Refuge House Church Service, five are in kindergarten; 13 are in elementary; 21 are in high school; 9 are in college first year to third year. Most of these stay with their families but attend all prayer meetings, church service and Bible studies. We continue to help as much as possible with their schooling expenses as our precious Lord provides. Of the nine who go to college, the government helps all but two of them, Jackielou and Ezekiel. Praise Jesus, their college expenses are paid in full for this year. Thank You Jesus!!

The yellow school bus is at the shop getting fixed. I am not sure exactly what the problem is yet. The internet service has been down for a few days, and Teresa has not been able to tell me. From our last conversation it may be the carburetor.

Teresa, Hazel and all the pastors in the municipality of Narra went to the mayor's office and had a meeting with the mayor. Each Pastor shared the Word of God to the government officials in the different offices. After sharing, the mayor asked all the pastors to come every Monday to the flag ceremony. He wants them to share the Word of God, so all the government officials can hear the word of God. PRAISE JESUS!!!

PRAISE JESUS!

SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP

At the end of June, our kids were happy and thankful for receiving medals for being excellent this year in every class. Most of the kids here at the Refuge House Church and the kids that have prayer partners have received medals. We had some graduate from elementary and some graduate from high school, and now they are preparing to enroll in college.

At Refuge House Church we now have nine college students, five boys and four girls! We are blessed that all of them are able to go to college! The government provides for all of them except Jackielou and Ezekiel. Jackielou’s expenses for this whole next year are $3,700.00. Ezekiel’s expenses for this whole next year are $3,400.00. Please pray!

VACATION CHURCH SCHOOL

The theme this year was “To Have Jesus Keep Living in Light.” In four days, we were blessed to have between 180 and 200 each day! Also many parents came and watched all the activities. We had a one week training and preparation for handling and teaching the kids in every activity. Our Refuge House Youth Leaders worked very hard in the training to be ready to disciple the young ones in the ways of Jesus!

The Refuge House Youth Leaders were assigned a group by age. They were very excited about how many were assigned to them, because it was their first time in their training to handle so many kids in VCS. They did a FANTASTIC Job for Our Lord Jesus!! The Refuge House Youth Leaders make sure in every lesson the kids would go home bringing the power of the Word of God in their hearts to share in each family that we need Jesus in our life! Several times during VCS the opportunity was given to anyone who the Holy Spirit was drawing to Jesus to make a public confession. Many Did!! PRAISE JESUS!!

On the fourth day, we had VCS Graduation. Every child wore the very best clothes they had (even the parents). They wear these clothes on a very special occasion only! The reason we gave out ribbons and certificates for their VCS Graduation is that most of the children have never received a ribbon or medal in school. They are not able to spend lots of time to study after school or not able to do their projects because of work or finances. Our Refuge children who have sponsors have time to study and do projects, which is why most get rewarded at school. The parents came to support their children. Most of the kids have never experienced receiving awards in school. That is why the parents are very thankful, because the parents got to experience going up on the stage and receiving ribbons and certificates for their kids.

PRAISE JESUS!

After two years of not being able to attend school, elementary and high schools are now allowing face to face classes every day!! 50% of each class alternates every other day. They still have protocols to wear face masks, and social distancing is observed.

We thank our Lord Jesus because the modular work the kids had to do was extremely hard for them. We are thankful and praise Jesus for everyone who took time to help the kids learn their school work the last two years!!

The kids are very excited to attend their classes every day. They are so happy and excited to go to school, to wear their uniforms, to tote their school bags and meet their teachers and friends for the first time in two years. (I laughed when she told me they were excited to wear their uniforms - I always had to remind the boys to wear them!! LOL!)

We are always praying for ways to reach the lost and because of the tremendous hardships the pandemic caused, it opened a door to evangelize by using more livelihood training. Pastor Nick Paredez does evangelism by using livelihood training. All the families in the barangy were invited to come. Our goal was to share Jesus with the parents and hopefully receive Jesus Christ in their hearts and then show them some ideas to help in their everyday living -- things that can provide delicious and nutritious food for their families without spending a lot of money to provide their daily needs. There was a really good turnout, and we fed around 100 people that day! Holy Spirit drew somewhere around 80 people to surrender their lives to Jesus!! GLORY TO GOD our LOVING FATHER!!

We are so thankful for all of your prayers for us here at Refuge House. Thank you so much for being so kind and having the heart of Jesus and compassion for reaching lost souls for the Lord Jesus Christ. We are always thankful to our Heavenly Father for your life. Thank you for your prayer and support for I Am Born Again Ministries Refuge House. Thank you and God bless you! We always pray for you! The kids are always praying for you and your family. Thank you so much and more treasures in Heaven for you!!

Praise Jesus! We have been blessed with the provision to send our first shipment of food with the vitamins and minerals that malnourished children need! We have delivered it to the container. We will start packing for the next shipment! THANK YOU JESUS!

With schools opening up, we pray we will be able to get all the discipleship and feeding in the schools going again. We also were blessed with the provision to fix the Kia truck! PRAISE JESUS!

PRAISE JESUS!

LORD'S DAY CAMP FOR GIRLS

In May we had Our Lord’s Day Camp for Girls! They had teachings and discipleship lessons during the day. The girls learned memory verses. There were also times of praise & worship and times of encouragement. They were encouraged and shown how important it is to have Jesus in their hearts as they grow older. How important it is to stay connected to the True Vine, Jesus, everyday! During the different activities the girls were shown even though they had hard lives, they still could have happiness and joy in their lives as they stay connected to our Lord Jesus Christ.

JackieLou and Hazel did discipleship teachings on:
1) "Let the young woman understand the meaning of life." 2) "Let the young woman understand the meaning of the importance of respect and obeying their parents and elders." 3) "Let the young woman understand the meaning of the importance of the Word of God to be kept in everyone’s Heart."

The girls also washed the curtains at the Refuge House. While they were doing that, they were reminded that even in the most mundane chores that they have to do at home, to do it heartily as unto our Lord Jesus Christ. That even in these hard chores they can have the Joy of the Lord.

It is a blessing to see young ones not complaining but joyfully doing chores! When told to do some chore, they throw up their hands and say "Praise Jesus, we get to wash clothes!" Over the years, many parents have sent their children to learn this!

They also had lots of fun activities playing different games during the day! During the day, they had delicious meals and snacks. The girls had a wonderful time and were so thankful and blessed! At the end of the day, they all wanted to know when the next Lord’s Day Camp for Girls would be!!

All the glory and honor and praise belongs to God, our Loving Heavenly Father. Thank you and God bless you for your love, prayers and encouragement.

LEADER SEMINAR

All leaders attended a Pastor's and Leadership Seminar in May, together with the youth who are in the Discipleship Phase of preparing to be leaders. They were so blessed to be able to build spiritual strength, share ways to reach the lost, learn from each other how to be better witnesses for our Lord Jesus, and most of all grow in faith.

They continue to attend monthly pastoral meetings together with Pastor Odgie and other pastors. It helps to guide spiritually and strengthen faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for provisions for a new battery for the Kia Truck and also to replace the rear brakes. Battery and all brake parts with labor is approximately $300.00. Thank you & God bless you!!

PRAISE JESUS!

Praise our Heavenly Father for all the things he did for us through his Son Jesus Christ our Savior.

This month our Heavenly Father reminded us of His great, immeasurable love, compassion and salvation we received by sacrificing His Son Jesus Christ that He died on the cross for us to be connected again to the Father.

Our Heavenly Father reminds us everyday that He has always been our refuge and strength, and nothing is impossible with Him. We can trust our Heavenly Father for all that is happening in our lives, because our Lord Jesus paid all the things in our lives on the cross even in our situations we might face everyday. Our Heavenly Father gives us assurance. We just need to believe and have faith in the Lord in everything we have in our life.

Jesus is ALIVE !!

This month we started feeding at Maharlika near the highway. There are 50 kids in that area. We ask permission from the Barangy Captain to use the center so that we can have shade because it’s an open area and it’s hot or sometimes it’s raining.

We are thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ for the opportunity to feed the children in that area. Some parents came with their children and the village president came also and gave us some help preparing firewood for us to use to cook.

Mother Vergie also came with us and helped us to cook, Refuge House youth and young teens presented a dance presentation.

The kids were so very thankful and enjoyed the whole time. Jackielou taught the kids a Bible story and gave some advice and encouragement from God's Word to the kids and the parents.

We are thankful to the Lord God to let us experience His love and His blessings, and strength to feed the children spiritually and naturally.

We are thankful for all of your prayers for us here. Thank you for all of your support and for the love of Jesus in you and for being a big part of I Am Born Again Ministries Family.

Everyday we are all praying for you to our Heavenly Father that He always continues to give whatever the desire of your heart. Thank you and God bless you - more treasure in Heaven for you!! This month we celebrate and remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. To celebrate, Hazel prepared the showing of Jesus Christ film, around 60 came to watch the film showing. Early Sunday Sunrise Service, we start at 4:30 a.m til 7 a.m. There was a storm on Resurrection Sunday so we were not able to do the service on the beach. We had to hang sheets around the worship area to keep the rain from blowing in and we had our Sunrise Service there. It was Still a Wonderful Time in the Lord !! As of this month, we still could not go to some Barangy’s for Gospel outreach and feeding purposes, but hopefully after the election of the government we will be able to !! The people that want to come for Missions here need vaccine's record. I am not sure of all the requirements. PRAISE JESUS!

HE HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE!! HE IS ALIVE!!
We Pray you have a Blessed Resurrection Sunday!!

In March, our Refuge House Team was given permission by the Barangy Captain to hold Gospel outreaches in the village plaza and feeding the malnourished children. Everyone, our Refuge House Team, parents and children were so very thankful and so very blessed! It has been over two years since we were able to do the Gospel outreaches and feedings in any village plaza. The excitement and thankfulness was so very great!

Jackielou, Bernard, Ezekiel, and other Refuge House Team Youth are continuing the next phase of their very important discipleship to be a part of the decision making of all the different ministries of I AM Born Again Ministries (IABAM) in the Philippines. Please continue to pray for them!! Thank you!!

This month they received some of the Balik Bayan Boxes with food, clothes and other things at the Refuge House. We are so thankful as it has taken boxes longer to arrive than in the past. Other Balik Bayan Boxes are still on the way. We also are packing more to ship. They were getting low on food to feed the malnourished kids but praise Jesus - He is right on time!!

We are waiting for the thank you letters for the school sponsors. We will mail them to everyone when they arrive. All the children are doing well in their elementary and high school studies. The college students are also doing well. I am waiting for their first semester grades for college to share with everyone. Two of the teachers have Covid and have not been able to give their grade for that class. Please pray for healing.

All the Boys had an activity day this month. The Lord’s Day Camp! They were encouraged to stay strong in faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. They also had some fun activities. Everyone had a wonderful time in our Lord! Ezekiel was the leader of the Boys' Lord’s Day Camp!

Our Refuge House Team continues to do more and more house-to-house ministry. They scatter out and go to many houses and just share Jesus, encourage everyone, sing praises, pray and just let people know there is hope in Jesus Christ.

We still are having all the different services at the Refuge House - regular Sunday Service, Kids' Church, Youth Meetings, Prayer Warriors, and Bible Study along with other special events.

PRAISE JESUS!

DISCIPLESHIP

Our Refuge House Team Youth have been trained in many areas of ministry over the last few years. They have learned to lead praise and worship, to lead children's church, to lead in home churches, to do visitations, to do Gospel outreaches, to participate in church services in every area, to lead VCS (Vacation Church School) and other events at the Refuge House.

Jackielou, Bernard, Ezekiel, and other Refuge House Team youth have now started the next phase of their Discipleship. This is a Very Very Important part of their Discipleship. It allows them to be a part of the decision making of all the different ministries of I Am Born Again Ministries (IABAM) in the Philippines. These youth have been well discipled on how to seek our Loving Father God’s Will through His Son, our Precious Lord Jesus Christ. They are now bringing suggestions and ideas for the ministry to leadership meetings. They will be allowed to be in the leadership meetings when praying and seeking Our Loving Father’s Will over their suggestions and ideas.

This part of discipleship will challenge them to a deeper understanding and relationship with our Loving Father, our Precious Lord Jesus and Wonderful Holy Spirit. As well as preparing them to be able to go forth and lead in whatever and wherever Holy Spirit leads them to continue to build the Kingdom of God. This is an exciting and challenging time for them!! Please keep the Refuge House Team Youth in prayer!! Thank you!!

HIGHER EDUCATION

Jackielou & Ezekiel are starting their second and last semester of college this year. Both are doing very well in their classes. Both of their second semester costs will be Approx. $1,500.00 to $1,700.00 Please be in prayer for this provision. Thank You !!

REFUGE HOUSE

Beloved, Teresa has asked to please be in prayer for some new microphones for outreach and SD cards for camera to video. Thank You!!

Video below shows the boys with their fishing poles fishing. It is so funny to me! They have not learned how to cast and were throwing the line by hand. But they had a GREAT time fishing. They were so happy and blessed!!
( I have told Teresa to get Doy Doy to teach them -LOL !! )

Also I told Lolita it reminds me of when she and I go fishing! The boys only caught five fish that day, and Teresa had to fix peanut butter sandwiches for them to eat. Every time Lolita & I go fishing we have such a great and blessed time just being out in our Loving Father's creation, but we always end up going to the fish house to buy fish to eat!! LOL!!

PRAISE JESUS!

BAPTISM

Praise Jesus, there were 13 precious youth baptized in January! Plus one more, my precious Sycee, who is now 14 years old! Also one adult, Samuel, was baptized. They went to the swimming pool because there were strong waves and strong currents plus lots of jelly fish last month in the sea at our Refuge House. These new believers surrendered their will to our Father’s will to follow Jesus! Now the journey begins as they will be taught the ways of Jesus! Our Refuge House Team will now continue to Disciple all of them!

Please pray for these precious young men and young women as they become rooted and grounded in the Word of God and in the love of Jesus.

GIFT GIVING

Praise Jesus, the gifts arrived and have been given to many many kids. The kids were very very thankful for the gifts! All the boys were given a kid's reel and rod. The reel was a Cars Movie Shakespeare reel.

All the boys were so excited as they had never had a reel & rod before. They have been fishing along the shore as much as they have been allowed to go. They have been catching small fish, which has them real excited. Plus the family gets to eat the fish, which brings more Praise to God and thanksgiving to Jesus for You!!

REFUGE HOUSE

All the ministries and services continue at Refuge House. It has been a challenge as it seems every week the restrictions change. This week you cannot leave home. Next week you can leave home but not travel outside the barangay. etc. We continue to Outreach at every available time.

SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP

Our elementary & high schools are still doing modular work from home and turning it in each week.

College Students are still in person depending on each week's covid restrictions. Our college students are still doing double work as they help the elementary and high schoolers with their lessons as well as their own lessons.

PRAYER

Please pray for comfort for one of our youth - Ruffa. Her mom graduated to be with the Lord. She is the youngest in the family and misses her Mom very much. Our Refuge House Team is ministering to her every day.

HALLELUJAH HARRELL'S HAMBURGER AND SMOKED BBQ PULLED PORK

We did our first cooking fundraiser this month to help feed malnourished kids in Palawan. We had cooked for the youth in Cross City and we had extra left over. So the next day we set up for afundraiser in Trenton in Gilchrist county. We offered BBQ smoked pulled pork on Hawaiian toasted bun, drink, chips and snack for $4.00 donation. We were out of food in 2 hours. Praise Jesus!

We were able to pray and share Jesus with everyone who came and give testimony of HIS Love! Some came who were having some tough financial times and were able to have a meal for free in Jesus name! We want to say thank you for everyone who gave to provide the meat, drinks, chips and snacks.

I personally enjoyed this so very very much -- being a blessing to people here and they being a blessing to the kids. Storing Treasures in Heaven! Being able to share one-on-one about our precious Lord Jesus!! I am praying to be able to do this more often! Thank you again!!

PRAISE JESUS!

TYPHOON

In December there was a super typhoon that was very destructive across the Philippines. Praise Jesus, we are so thankful the Refuge House had very minor damage and only a small beach erosion. Our Mission House in Puerto Princesa has minor roof damage approximately $100.00 to fix. Others are not so fortunate. Please be in prayer. Thank you.

FROM TERESA

Pastor Odjie gave an encouraging word for everyone at Homecoming. The youth sang praise songs and also praise dances. The kids also did praise songs they had learned throughout the year. There were also great testimonies given. Many parents, youth and kids gave testimony of what God our Loving Father did in their lives this last year. Afterwards there was a delicious meal and great fellowship together. There was a lot of rain and wind that day, and the attendance was 110 people.

On the first of December, 70 parents, youth and kids gathered together several different days and practiced singing Christmas Carols. It was a joyous time in the Lord as we practiced then went and sang Christmas Carols. It was such a blessing.

PRAISE REPORTS

On December 7, we had our anniversary, Homecoming, for the Refuge House.

My Precious Sycee who is now 14 was water baptized at a swimming pool this month. She could not be baptized at the Refuge House because of big waves this month.

We have been blessed with enough lentils to send 30 to 40 boxes to feed the malnourished children. We are so THANKFUL!!

IN CLOSING

A lot of the Christmas gifts we sent have just arrived. They will be given this month. Hopefully the rest of the gifts will arrive. Shipping has been slower than usual. Because of Covid and not able to have people package it, we have not been able to send Mac & Cheese for over a year and a half. Please Pray for provisions to ship it. We will need approximately $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 to ship.

Dearly Beloved, as we enter this New Year, all of us pray that you have a blessed, healthy, safe, prosperous, year of our Lord 2022.
